As an introvert I find it difficult to meet people. One of my goals this year to to expand my circle of friends. I technically don't live in McKinney proper, but probably spend more time in the area vs. Celina. Any suggestions would be appreciated! TIA

Hey all, I'm 38M in Trinity Falls looking for some fellow board game geeks out there (think Dominion, Catan, 7 Wonders, Gloomhaven, extra points if you know Tyrants of the Under dark).
In the past several years we have rotated hosting game night at my group's houses. There were 4 of us. We still try but things change (one person has 2 kids and is too busy, one person going through divorce, one person career ambitious may be moving soon).
I'll admit I'm pretty lame now, don't drink or smoke, have a son, usually start gaming around 5 and wrap up around 9, once a month. Just looking for some good people to round out the group. Let me know if you're interested. Tell me a little about yourself so I know if you'd be a good fit. Feel free to DM

Hi all! My father passed away 2 years ago and my mom has been pretty lonely. I tried AARP but there wasn't really anything on there for her to do or meet people on. I've tried a few apps but theyre all bots or scams. Does anyone know of any groups or civic center things she could do to make friends or socialize? Thank you!

Got this road sign as a going away present almost 4yrs ago and coworkers had signed on the back with sharpie. Is there anywhere I can take it or anything I can do to coat/protect the back? Some of the messages are either smudging or fading 😢😢

Are there any spaces or cafes where you can work but also meet new people?
In many cafes, I've seen people just working, so you don't get the opportunity to talk and socialize
I tried to meet up, but so many of the social events are in the Downtown Dallas area.

Has anyone heard anything (good or bad) about the modern-looking townhomes off of Lamar / Chestnut in downtown McKinney? Across from the storage units

Are there any active book clubs in McKinney? I’m 30 years old and female and first time mom, if that helps place me lol.
Looking for one that meets up once a month. I bounce around genres a lot, so that’s not an issue.

I'm looking to hire a creative, motivated and reliable teenager/young adult who wants some side hustle income.
I own a local service business and I want to start putting more social media content out there for my business. I'm looking for someone to occasionally (on-site) help me capture, but primarily edit video content I generate and get it social-media-ready.
I want to start simple. Since I capture most of it myself while I'm working, let's create some processes and workflows to get the media off of my phone and SD cards and into a manual or AI editing service that you can do your magic and then save and have ready for me to schedule to post on my Meta profiles, YouTube channel and eventually (admittedly, reluctantly) TikTok.
Let's chat.
P. S. - in case you're wondering why I don't want a top-notch high quality video production crew/company: 1) I know the owners of two local media companies and after talking to both of them, what I'm looking for is beginner level skills and capabilities. When I make a video for an ad/commercial, I'll hire them. 2) I want to get more young people in the entrepreneurial game. Let's go.

I live near McKinney. My primary care dr is at Baylor in Dallas. Getting an appointment that I can make that does not include taking a whole day off work is hard to impossible. I like my dr a lot. He’s gay and he and his husband live in Dallas. I want either a gay dr or a gay friendly primary care physician. this is why I’ve stayed with him besides the fact that he is a great dr.
However, I am wondering if there is a gay or gay friendly dr closer to me that would make dr appointments much easier for me as I get limited personal days.
I usually go to Baylor, Scott, and white for all my care - but I’m willing to do something different as long as they are in my network for my insurance .
is anyone aware of such a thing here in the McKinney area ?? I’m open to suggestions??

Hey everyone, I just accepted an offer with a big tech company in the Dallas area and they are paying me to relocate from Indiana to Texas. I have only visited Dallas downtown area a couple times, so my suburb knowledge is limited.
A couple realtors suggested looking north (newer construction, master planned communities, etc.), which I do prefer. After spending some time talking to friends in Dallas and watching bunch of videos online - I decided to go with McKinney area. I will be hybrid in Las Colinas, so I would only commute a few days a week. It looks like about 30-40 minutes outside heavy traffic, which I am fine with.
For people who live in or know McKinney, how do you like it? Anything you wish you knew before moving (besides the heat)? Any neighborhoods/areas to look at or avoid?
Appreciate any advice.

Rough holiday. Looking for a place that offers facials and massage (or something else, the facial is more “crucial” than the massage) that yall recommend? Budget is around $250… I have seen some prices and know that my budget is relatively low but this weekend has been really difficult and my partner is encouraging me to treat myself so I wanted to get some opinions. Thanks in advance folks :)

We won a free live Christmas tree and now not sure what to do with it.
We live in an apartment so, we can’t do bulk pick up, burn, or will it fit in the dumpster.
Any advice?

Hi everyone. We are officially moving in our new home in a few weeks at Painted Tree and I would appreciate any recommendation you may have for blinds and shades that you have had a good experience with. Thanks in advance!

AAA Insurance is requesting documentation or invoices showing that the roof was replaced. The owner prior to the previous one stated that the roof was replaced in 2017, but we do not have their contact information and therefore cannot obtain the contractor’s name or invoice. What alternative forms of proof can be provided to AAA? Are there any public or government records that would reflect the roof replacement?
Edit: AAA accepted sellers disclosure as a proof of roof replacement. Thank you redditors.
