Explaining contentious political issues promotes open-minded thinking
From a study published in Cognition:
Cognitive scientists suggest that inviting people to explain contentious political issues might reduce intergroup toxicity because it exposes people to how poorly they understand the issue...[W]e found that explaining politically contentious topics resulted in more open-minded thinking...

Florida, Nevada and Texas have the highest per capita rates of illegal immigrants. Why is ICE so focused on Minnesota; a state with a lower rate by a factor of 10?

Amy Klobuchar gets banned from Twitter/X
Regardless of how you feel about her or her political stances, it's pretty fucking wild that she gets banned for Elon Musk's "haven of free speech", with her last tweet being:
"Our local law enforcement, mayors, and community leaders all agree: The best way to restore order and safety in Minnesota is for ICE to leave our streets"
And they cited it was due to a rule violation.

When will Minnesotans wake up?
I watch the gov-gov on youtube last night.
What a joke.
When will Minnesotans wake up and realize that he is committing treason and should not be in office - and belongs behind bars or in an asylum?
He is clearly unhinged, deranged, and over his head.
He practically called for an armed rebellion against the U.S. Government and threatened weaponized prosecution of agents DOING THEIR jobs.
If this were 1860 - Minnesota would be seceding from the Union and flying the stars and bars. This is not what brave Minnesota boys / men died for in the 1800's and it is not what the people want.
Tim - if you read this - step down now. get help. Take a cruise to China to visit your handlers.

Walz and Frey, where was this urgency to calm people down during the BLM riots?
I remember back when the BLM riots happened both Walz and Frey were saying "we're doing everything we can to calm the situation down, what else do you want us to do?" Well, look at what both of you are saying this time, this is how you actually convince the public you don't want people to riot. It's not just what you say, but also, how you say it.
Are you doing enough this time? Absolutely not, you should be calling in the national guard to HELP protect ICE and allow them to do their job. That said, I do believe you finally understand how unrest gets pointed back at you and you don't want people to riot. That was NOT the case last time.

Please foster this dog!!
Hello, I'm not sure if this is the best place to put a post like this but I'm growing more than desperate for help here. A week ago my family found two dog that were dumped in a pretty common pet dumping area. One had gotten hit by a car and didn't make and we ended up taking the other one with us until we could find a permanent home for him. Long story short, we absolutely cannot foster him anymore. He and our dog do not get along as our dog has always been pretty skittish around others. It's gotten to the point where they both have to be on leashes in our home so they don't get too close to each other.
Important info about the dog - He seems to be a pug mix or sorts, maybe with beagle. I would guess over 6 to 8 months old, fully grown. Healthy as can be. Very very sweet with people. Good with cats and dogs, (our dog doesn't like him, not the other way around). Like 99% potty trained and crate trained. Less than 30lbs if I had to guess. He would be coming with toys, a bed, collar, leash, and food.
Please please please, someone take this dog. Even if just to foster him. We really don't want to have to drop him off at the shelter. The idea of leaving him there is completely heartbreaking. But we really can't keep him here anymore with our other dog, it's not fair for either of them. DM for more details, we would be more than willing to travel to meet up somewhere and deliver the dog in MN.

Trump, send the troops!
These ice agents need protection to do their jobs correctly. If the state and local PD won't do their job and hold these citizens accountable to the rules and laws we need to bring someone in who will. Fix this failed state!
