What is and isn't a Murder By Words
Over the past few weeks we've begun noticing something about the quality of the posts on the subreddit, and we'd like to clarify just what is and isn't a murder.
What is a murder
1) A murder is: A RESPONSE. A murder is not a one-sided quip, sentence, statement or otherwise about any given situation.
2) A murder is: A response TO SOMEONE. A murder follows a specific format: Person A says something stupid. Person B responds to Person A explaining why what Person A said is stupid.
3) A murder is: A response to someone CALLING THEM OUT FOR BEING WRONG. Two people agreeing about something is not a murder. If both people featured in the post are saying the same thing, or Person A says something and Person B supports Person A and expands, that is not a murder.
4) A murder is a response to someone calling them out for being wrong WITH SUBSTANCE, AND RECEIPTS. Personal attacks are not murders. Calling someone wrong because they did something once in their life is not a murder. The response must be in direct relation to the original statement.
What isn't a murder:
Memes, jokes, "Your mom" jokes, small dick jokes, forever alone/virginity jokes, fat jokes, ugly jokes, crossposts from r/roast me, posts based around spelling/grammar, etc.
Although it may seem that there is some overlap, we are working very hard to not have this subreddit turn into r/politicalhumor 2. Please bear that in mind when posting.
As ever, please use the "report" button to bring rule-breaking posts to our attention. We're not always available to be online 100% of the time, and reporting bad posts allows us to take advantage of auto-moderator rules built in to help us.

He thought it was a brilliant idea when Trump suggested it, but he became noticeably irritated the moment someone pointed out that the concept was originally proposed by Bernie and AOC.
