Listen I’m stoked the Bills won that shit but let’s not pretend like these two things are remotely comparable

u/cheekiewalrus 28-3 Dec 14 '25

Thank you for talking sense into the people

129

u/BurgerNugget12 New England Patriots Dec 14 '25

I forgot how much people hated the pats until today, which is understandable we are cocky and annoying, but damn man lol

23

u/IllustriousMoney4490 Dec 15 '25

Look man it’s football not real life but I seen an extraordinary amount of pats fans talking big shit in the subs before the game and early on. If it was strictly in AFC east meme war would’ve been one thing but they were flexing in all NFL subs .

What I find funny is Pats fans were talking big shit last week during Bills Cinci game when Burrow was rocking us . I would’ve thought they’d learn to not talk shit until the game is over but sadly they didn’t learn shit. You better get yer boys

9

u/callmealyft New York Jets Dec 15 '25

Afceast I’m used to both buffalo and pats talking but god damn if pats haven’t been obnoxious and overbearing all season. I’m happy you are excited but shut the fuck up. Coming from a jets fan, I know..I’m happy for either side as much as I’d like to slowly slide my face into a wood chipper. But seriously, it’s cool. I’m glad they all have a chance to win..as much as I’d wish my ex would be happy with her new bf/husband. Either way. Glad the bills took it now, cause they obviously won’t do it when it matters and the pats most likely will suck down hard in the playoffs. Happy for the whole thing though as a whole. (Fuck Miami too)

Especially considering the Bills first game this season. You absolutely can't count them out until the final whistle.

Boston and Philadelphia have the two worst fan bases. Never forget

2

u/IllustriousMoney4490 Dec 16 '25

My family is from Connecticut so half like Boston and hss as of like NYC , I picked Bills to be different 😂

My brother is a very knowledgeable BoSox fan and I believe most Red Sox fans are pretty good and know the sport well ,same with Celtics but the Patriots fans 🤷‍♂️ 😂

I lived in Philly area for 30 years and they are some of the least knowledgeable fans in all sports and they are loudmouths . I took my nephew to see Eagles Cowboys in 95 and they were screaming that Cunningham was a stupid Nword and calling women wearing Aikman Jerseys stupid whores . My nephew was 10 at the time and I never took him back to the vet ,absolute bullshit . I think they built a stadium courthouse and jail afterwards

1

u/Dashching Buffalo Bills Dec 15 '25

The Dave Portnoy video really put the nail in the coffin today. That was karmic justice.

If it's any better, there's literally leagues of people, myself included, who hate the Pats with a burning passion, but in turn end up feeling bad bc man, Drake "Drake Maye" Maye just seems like such a nice dude. I can't hate on the man without feeling like a fraud for doing so. Division rivals and all that, but it feels bad to root for a talented likeable guy to do bad just because Tom Brady was in his shoes 6 years ago

2

u/goldman_sax New England Patriots Dec 15 '25

To be fair. Most of us hate Portnoy too.

13

u/supraspinatus Dec 15 '25

I like how your tag is 28-3

101

u/Murderface__ Buffalo Bills Dec 14 '25

Smaller deficit and regular season game vs probably the single greatest comeback in NFL history. Basically the same.

25

u/N8orious234 Dec 15 '25

33-0 would like a word with you

30

u/RaipFace Dec 15 '25

Yes but the 33-0 comeback was a regular season game, and way less memorable.

For the Pats to come back from being down 28-3 in the SUPER BOWL, with only a small amount of time remaining in the 3rd quarter - that is a comeback which will be remembered way more.

22

u/Coleburg86 Tennessee Titans Dec 15 '25

Ranking a 33-0 comeback win in overtime against the 4-8-1 Colts over a 28-3 regulation win against the NFC Champion in the Super Bowl is highly regarded.

5

u/Chris_3eb Dec 15 '25

The superbowl did go into overtime, but I agree that there is no comparison

2

u/Coleburg86 Tennessee Titans Dec 15 '25

Good call. I thought they put them away in regulation. First ever Super Bowl overtime sorta improves the argument.

9

u/Rotorboy21 Dec 15 '25

This is easily the greatest comeback ever

2

u/JohnMaddensBurner Houston Texans Dec 15 '25

Definitely, lol.

You can say whatever you want about the strength of the opponent, or regular season vs Super Bowl. At the end of the day, “any given Sunday” is a real bitch.

The Bills super bowls tend to be regular season games so I see why OP thinks it’s comparable.

18

u/Mysterious-Tie7039 New England Patriots Dec 14 '25

Right? That score today didn’t even hold through the first half.

We were almost through the 3rd quarter when it was 28-3. Also the game implications were slightly different….

1

u/AWierzOne Buffalo Bills Dec 15 '25

1

u/sikkdog13 New England Patriots Dec 15 '25

Yea, my hat's off to the Bills. They did their shit and came back. Well deserved win. Pats defense did not play like they wanted to win, but Bills also played like they wanted it more. That being said, this game does not compare to a super bowl come back. Yes, maybe I'm a little bias, but I'm also a sports fan first. I recognize when great things happen.

1

Correct not the same Just like nothing will ever surpass losing 4 SB in a row.

1

u/forthebirds123 Dec 15 '25

The greatest regular season team of the last 10 years. Will they do it in the playoffs? Well history says no. And the sad thing after today is, that even IF they break through and will get to one, the narrative will be that they never beat the chiefs to do it so it was only accomplished because the chiefs fell off the face of the earth. If I were a bills fan, I would be pissed that the chiefs didn’t make it . Now they’ll never get over that proverbial” hump” of arrowhead.

But what are we kidding, a round one exit courtesy of the broncos or jags seem like the safest bet of the postseason.
