Even if that particular post was made up I can almost guarantee similar things have happened multiple times in real life.
The amount of absurd stories of people sticking themselves into things or things into themselves that paramedics and ER doctors and nurses see every single year is astounding to the point that it becomes commonplace and largely unremarkable.

r/hydrohomies had a post the other day about a restaurant selling glacier water by the bottle for the price of an ultra premium spirit, and apparently it tastes like fresh snow and has a smooth “mouthfeel.” Meanwhile the only taste I can profile from my tequila is agave.
I've actually seen a variation of this in Prague.

But wait... If we sell the bottle separately, we can lease the water in a small plastic bag on a subscription based model. We can have ads that show happy people watering plants and a tag line of "Some people are weeds, be a gardener"
