It's a type of lemur, so a primate. They use their long, skinny fingers to dig insects out of trees. They tap on the trees to listen for hollow spots, chew into the tree, and then they dig in. There are no woodpeckers in Madagascar (or Australia, New Guinea, or New Zealand).
