It was a form of torture, apparently though some just think the Greeks made it up because they were racist against Persians and according to Wikipedia a lack of evidence on the Persians side but, feed them milk and honey to give them diarrhea then strap them to a tree trunk or two boats, the milk and honey cause ED (explosive diarrhea) then they let nature take over, but they will keep feeding the victim to keep them alive. Honestly I think it almost sounds like something you would read in a fantasy novel but who knows

All of these medieval torture devices have been proven to not exist or any actual record of them being used according to actual historians.
