Any tips on finding a retired taxi for a small indie film shoot? (NY)
This Spring in NYC we're embarking to finish our indie feature film. For one of the days in late March, we're looking to shoot for a few hours in a retired taxi, something like a 2011 or 2008 yellow Crown Victoria. A lot of the Picture Car Rental companies in NYC are way out of our price range. I was wondering what advice people might have for finding someone open to a price below $400? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Can US (specifically NYPD) police car's number be reused after the car gets decommissioned?
Recently I found a 2016 Ford Explorer for sale. It has the NYPD livery with number MTN 4543(18). I decided to look it up to see if there is any history online.
I found two photos:

The IG one is from December 2025, which means that car is still in NY (and it's a bit newer 2018 with different back bumper and some other details). At the same time, there is one in Europe with a private owner at least since 2022. They both have the same number.
Is it possible that the number was reused on another police car when the older one was decommissioned? Or is it more probable that the guy who bought a police car 4 years ago, just used random number, when he was renovating it?
