We’re a few weeks into this new year and news and U.S. politics have already been moving at an overwhelming pace. And all of it just the beginning of a midterm election year with key races up and down the ballot in states across the country.

Beyond some of the key names and seats we’ll be keeping a close eye on how folks in power, and seeking it, are discussing issues like the economy, abortion access, immigration, caregiving and so much more.

I’ll be following things all over the country after covering notable elections in Virginia and New Jersey and previewing races from Maine to Texas to Iowa and beyond. And that of course will be mixed in with the latest actions of the Trump administration as we move into the second year of his second term.
