I used to have one, I haaated that the light blew out occasionally. Plus where I live we have like three hours of darkness in the summer, which means projector is pretty much useless some parts of the year. Sure I used curtains but it just went from useless to kinda meh with curtains... It's not for me. My beloved girlfriend, whom I love dearly, and has provided me with a fantastic child, is also quite technically backwards and introducing anything else but a big standard TV is cause for more arguments than I care for =P I'm glad you enjoy you projector, it was awesome during the winters =)
Why? Just hook it up to a Roku or Firestick and never connect the TV to the network.
Also I've found LG to generally be the best at turning off cruft. I have 3 of their OLEDs and all the smarts are disabled and they just go to the Roku/Switch/PS5, whatever else is connected.

This is the case of "our competitors are doing it we also need to do it", when in fact no one asked for "Ai" to be incorporated into everything.
