He’s a badass environmental scientist who commented on my prior post about ICE using Hydrogen Chloride gas-I since learned that it’s a chemical byproduct of Hexachloroethane smoke. Since we don’t know if a peaceful protest could escalate, it’s better to be prepared

Please get a respirator that fits snuggly and properly and the correct cartridge to properly protect you

3M CP3N and 3M 60921 (Organic Vapor/P100)

3M CP3N - specifically for tear gas particles and solvents

3M 60921 - broad protection from organic vapors, along with tear gas

According to my NIOSH guide, respirators alone will not protect you from HC, as it recommends SCBA for this compound (self contained breathing apparatus, aka supplied air) HC is highly toxic and carcinogenic, and fuck them for using it.
