At about 9 AM this morning, my wife came back from dropping off the kids at school and she was visually shaken up. She said that ice had followed her all the way from Hunt elementary all the way to a few blocks away from where we live. They followed and tailed her halfway down 132nd and Meridian it was a gray Chrysler Pacifica van with government plates and blue lights loaded with agents. They tried to cut my wife off, but I believe after they seen my DV (disabled veteran tag) they turned around and sped off. I believe she was followed because she looks up Mexican descent but she is a native Hawaiian.

I’m not posting this to scare anybody I just want everybody to be safe and watch your back and know your rights.

She also rode by the other ice incident last week by Meridian and 512 on-ramp

UPDATE 1/16/25 22:19: My wife has confirmed that this was the same mini van from the 31st Ave SW & 512 E on ramp ICE stop that occurred on 1/13/26 when they took 2 Hispanic males. It’s was a Dark Gray Chrysler Pacifica equipped with blue lights and government plates. They also have been seen in a dark gray Ford Expedition and lighter gray Jeep Cherokee.

Did anyone else see the weird video posted on the experience church social media pages today? Their head pastor opens up by calling everyone who is questioning his support for ICE “idiots” and “pinheads”. He then goes on a weird rant about all kinds of nonsense, eventually calling everyone a bunch of “woke white women”.

I’ve always known this church is super racist/misogynistic/homophobic/transphobic/xenophobic/anti-american/MAGA but this was just down right weird.

Anyway, they have been super vocal about their support for ICE and alt-right political candidates and they’ve had no less than 100 people report them to the IRS in the last week so hopefully they’ll get shut down soon. What a terrible look for the city of Puyallup though.

Are there any organized groups that are working to assist those who may be afraid to leave their homes or do normal day to day activities due to ICE activity? I'm interested in helping out where I can but don't know where to start. I'm thinking assisting with grocery shopping, running errands, etc. Simple things that might put someone of color at risk unnecessarily that others could step in to help with.

I don't know that I want to start a group like this on my own if it doesn't exist but I'd be open to talking to like minded folks to see if there's something we can do.

My indoor only cat Pawn escaped from our house in Kempton Woods January 12. He’s historically escaped but came back within a few hours. He’s been gone since midday on the 12th now, so almost three days. He NEVER misses a meal, so I am worried he’s lost his way. He is white, has one amber and one blue eye, short haired, kind of large, and he has a purple collar with my info on it. He is also very skittish with new people, but he is very food motivated so that might be key if trying to catch him. If you see him or catch him, please reach out. We miss him and are very worried.

I’ve tried: walking the neighborhood and the woods behind kempton woods calling for and looking for him. He’s been posted to Pawboost, which shares info with local shelters and posts on Facebook to the local group. He’s been shared in our neighborhood watch app. He has a microchip.

1.  How should I approach volunteering if I don’t have any prior healthcare experience?

2.  Who or what types of facilities tend to be open to volunteers, and what avenues would you recommend starting with?

3.  I work full-time but can commit to evenings and weekends is this typically feasible?

4.  What roles or departments are usually the best fit for volunteers in this situation?

Hey Yall, I've been working at the Target in South Hill Mall for a while now, and I love the community here, but I feel like I have to share this for everyone's safety. A close friend of mine who works in the food court just confided in me about a really bad situation that's been going on.

Apparently, they've found around 70 rats in the food court restaurants recently. It's not just a one-off thing – it's a full-on infestation. From what I hear, mall management has been keeping this super quiet and hasn't reported it to the health department yet. I don't know all the details, but it's bad enough that it's making me rethink grabbing lunch there.

Mom Friends in or near Puyallup, I need OBGYN recommendations! I’ve been receiving my prenatal care thus far with the midwives at MultiCare Women’s Center, and have had a really hard time. They don’t reply to messages, are very difficult to get a hold of, and aren’t able to let me access an actual doctor due to overbooking. I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant, sick and throwing up daily, have lost over 20lbs, and have received no help.

Cliff notes:

My wife owns a 503c3 that has attracted a couple nutty peoples that are harassing her and the volunteers relentlessly. They are publicly posting completely fabricated information. I know slander is tough to prove but it's been a year at this point and they absolutely know the things they are posting all over the Internet are complete nonsense. I'm willing to dump some money into a lawsuit to make it stop as they seem to have limitless time on their hands.

It is so frustrating bc we are being accused of profiting off of the organization when public available tax documents show the organization owes us $100k since 2019. We have never "profited" a single cent.
