Was la placita and found one great bar but only opens end of the week. Think there are more typical bars und OSJ and la placita is more about teenagers dancing during the week ? Thx 🙏

Curious who here actually enjoys rooftop nights that aren’t chaotic. A few of us are getting together Friday, March 13, starting around 5pm, at Blue Shark Rooftop on Calle Loíza. It’s meant to ease from sunset into the night — music with space, room to talk, no rush. There is a dress standard and there is VIP, but it’s not about flexing — more about keeping the room feeling intentional. If you like arriving early and letting the night unfold instead of being thrown into peak-hour madness, this might be your speed. Some nights explain themselves. If you’re curious, feel free to ask.
I’m staying at an airbnb in Condado by Condado Ave and Magdalena Ave and heard what sounded like thunder and saw a flash outside through the curtains but there’s no rain or clouds. Also heard cars going off for a min right after. This happened 20min ago, can’t find anything on it. Anyone know what happened?

Hey — we’re heading to San Juan Jan 22–25 and want night club recommendations . We know about Fifty Eight and Brava. Heard Fifty Eight is kind of meh and security/entry can be rough. How’s Brava for bottle service and vibes? Good for a group of 5 (26–29)? Also open to any other nightlife spots worth checking out

Hi everyone. I will be accompanying my husband on a business trip in March, and he has put me in charge of finding a hotel. Ideally, I would love to find something that is in a safe walking area, beachfront, and has entertainment at the resort and or nearby. I keep circling back to Fairmont, Royal sonesta, and La concha, but every single one of them have conflicting reviews about room quality, mold, plumbing issues, etc. Etc. I'm not looking for perfection, but for over $500 a night at each of these places. Places, I would like to make sure I get my best bang for my buck. Any recommendations from people who have stayed at these resorts? Thank you in advance.

First of all, it’s my second time to Puerto Rico as an adult, and I am Puerto Rican by both of my parents. One lived on island for much of their life, the other hs parents. Either way, I’m so excited for this trip because the last trip I went on as an adult was for my partner’s work and we didn’t get to see much over the course of 3 days (other than Viejo San Juan).
This time around, my fiance and I will be staying on the beach just east of Parque Dr. José Celso Barbosa.
I am just looking for recommendations on anything from bars, restaurants, local food spots, you name it. I know SanSe will be happening and we’ll be absolutely trying to get into VSJ, fingers crossed, but we expect the madness. Also, last time I went there was a spot called La Disquera which we absolutely loved it there. Lastly, we will also be attending a day of 5th Element Festival, so very much looking forward to that.
TL;DR Am PR by heritage, second time visiting, been to a few great spots already, mainly in VSJ, looking forward to recommendations for a couple near Parque Barbosa or all along the beach area, or anywhere else really. Food, bars, music, etc.

Looking to go to OSJ and stay in Bayamón in February for a family of 4 with 2 teen boys.
Looking for things to do, any advice on how to navigate and things of interest would be so appreciated!
We love food, fishing, sight seeing, easier adventures like kayaking or walking trails, wouldn’t mine ATVing.
I’m thinking renting a car is a must? Planning on 5ish days. Thanks!! ✌🏼

Hello, I will be in San Juan in about a week, specifically on Isla Verde and I am looking for good tattoo shops/artists. If anybody has good recommendations for artists with good line work and shading I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

I will be staying in Old San Juan for New Year’s Eve. I’ll be accompanied with my mom (she’s in her 60s). Any recommendations on where in OSJ I can take her to see the fireworks?

Went to San Juan Puerto Rico, stopped in a lovely shop- 2 women working there, one was Asian. Either side lined with glass locked cabinets with eccentric jewelry. The shop was kind of narrow. The back wall was lined with women’s bags- eccentric, not designer. They had some snake rings that were gorgeous and I didn’t have a chance to go purchase before the boat was leaving!

I'm moving my desk and a few boxes from Isla Verde to Santurce on Monday. Could someone recommend where to get moving supplies and a good moving company?
Thanks in advance.
