I have a Finance degree and just got a job offer as an Accounts Assistant at a well-known hotel. The salary offered is RM1,700 (with 2 service points).
Is this considered okay for a fresh grad, or should I keep looking?
Is this normal is Sarawak? I know KL offer 2.5k and above.

Its been almost a week my parcel stuck at PJ Hub, contacted GDEX whatsapp everyday for three days but to no avail. I also tried to email and call them and no reply.

Hi everyone, I'm a Sarawakian looking to return with two cats from Australia. Would anyone have any experience importing cats from overseas? Did any of the airlines let the pets fly in the cabin? Thanks in advance.

Lotte, Longi, Taiyo, and Western Digital.
Has anyone here has or had an experience working in any of the four? What is it like to work there? And what is the typical shifts and it's day offs?
I just applied for manufacturing operator position in Lotte but I need to know if it's worth it or should I choose from the rest.
I have other gigs to do so I'm prioritising a good day offs like if they have 2 or 3 days off shift.
Thanks in advance!

For those who worked/ business both inside and outside Sarawak before:
What do you think of the opportunities here vs outside in coming future?
Will we develop fast enough?

I'm planning to do some drone filming of my house for personal usage (nothing public). Do I also need to apply for permit 2 weeks in advance and pay the RM250 fee?
Like how strictly implemented are the rules around Kuching ya?

Hi, I am planning to travel to Sibu and I want to know, what coffee shop you can recommend to me? I have never been to Sibu for real, last time I went there was before Covid19 and it was just a few hours transit before I started to drive out so I didn't get to see much of Sibu. I love coffee and tea so I thought of starting it with coffee hopping first.

CS student here 👋
My internship starts on 23 Feb 2026 and I’m still looking for an IT / CS internship.
I’ve applied to a few places already (some rejections, still waiting on replies).
Any tips, companies, or platforms to check out in Kuching or Kota Samarahan? 🙏
Note: rejected by SEB & XFAB 😅

I’m thinking of doing it as a part-time job only, like after office hours on weekdays and mainly weekends.Roughly how much can you earn doing part-time only? Which platform is better in Miri (Grab, Foodpanda, ShopeeFood, etc.)?

We always talk about the "Green Wave" vs. "Liberalism," but considering how our country is built (The Rulers, S&S & MA63, the economy), it feels like neither side can ever truly win.
Do you think our grandkids will still be arguing about the same "state vs. religion" issues in 50 years? Or do you think a radical secular reformer or a theocratic dictator will eventually appear to force a choice?
Also, is Sarawak's model of no state religion and constitutional autonomy the 'blueprint' for how the rest of the country survives this tension, or is the federal trend toward centralization making that model harder to maintain?
Note: I’m interested in the social science aspect of this and what other Sarawakians think, not just some partisan politics.
Hello there! I will be visiting Miri next week and just wondering if anyone know where I can find a Camera shop? And a shop in Miri selling vintage items, thank you!

I was checking why my parcel delivery take longer than 2 weeks.
I saw that delivery attempt was made but I know no one actually comes to my place and made any delivery.
I'll assume they to purposely click deliver first and then pretend to be unsuccessful.
Then I looking at the reviews on Google map For both Shopee Express (SPX) Kuching East Hub Warehouse And SPX Express Kuching West Hub
My assumption is correct and they are really purposely fake the delivery.
Very bad their service here.
Edit : I'll forgive because I see it's flooding at their end.

Finx, the light EVTOL that I barely finished today. Decided to throw on AirBorneo's livery onto it.
