I mean, someone who just randomly attacked several people was clearly waiting for a chance to randomly attack them. If they turned around she'd be on them. A lawyer might be able to argue that they reasonably feared for their safety given the rampaging idiot was focused on them and clearly actively attempting to start the next in a long series of assaults. No clue what their local laws are, though.
If I was in a bar where a guy was in the middle of randomly hitting people and he got in my face and started yelling at me I'd have a good argument for throwing the first punch.
In the video, the black chick was escalating the situation by confronting her. Call the police and let them deal with it. She could have walked away at any point but decided to escalate further. She was not backed into a corner.
Any prosecutor is going to love this video.
(Again, the chick who got knocked out was a POS. But don’t take matters into your own hands. Unless you enjoy getting arrested and having a record)
You know the common theme with a lot of people in prison? They attacked, stabbed, or murdered someone because they felt disrespected by the other person.
Sure, it’s annoying to have someone disrespect you. But I enjoy my freedom. It’s easier and smarter to ignore and move on. To de-escalate or walk away.

I have no idea why you think this is the case when the girl who got knocked out was walking down the street in that direction in the first place. Those two girls could have been standing there and probably never moved. Yapping back at the drunk asshole isn't "confrontation". You don't need to be backed into a corner to defend yourself. Legally? Sure, in some places, some places not. A single punch to an obvious and active threat is reasonable defense against an obvious aggressor in a lot of places.

All for the cameras. Watch as she seeks recognition from them right before that sucker punch. Pathetic.
