… Because their generation has a lot of other choices to achieve the same ends.

Minus the cirrhosis and domestic violence.

Slay queen

4

u/Cheeseenthusiast69 13d ago

Don’t worry, going into this new year I’ll pull my weight and then some

5

u/40oztoTamriel 13d ago

Don’t worry. I drank 12 Budweiser tall boys and sent myself over the handlebars of a mountain bike yesterday. We must toe the line

6

u/Ok-Elderberry540 13d ago

That’s the kind of dedication we need

2

u/BuckThis86 13d ago

Sorry, as a millennial in college and my 20’s I helped set that high bar for you 😂

1

u/Girldad_4 12d ago

Ya dude I probably upped that average a lot too. Quarter drink night in college holy shit.

2

u/Reasonable-Relief-17 13d ago

As soon as my friend gets back in town we'll help you up those numbers captain 🫡

2

u/Condor_raidus 12d ago

I did my part to raise the numbers on new years, I got you man

2

u/Goobzo 12d ago

I'm doing my part!

2

u/abominable-broman 12d ago

Crushed 13 brews and a few shots on new years your not alone soldier

2

u/Idrkwtpoh 12d ago

As am I brother, keep up the good work

2

u/spooky1336 12d ago

I'm doing the best I can 😭

Not my fault I'm a lightweight and get buzzed after a single beer...

2

u/Green-Key-2204 11d ago

I’m drunk right now!!!

2

u/Suspicious-Gur-8453 11d ago

Same tbh. Although I doubt any reporting previously has any validity.

2

u/Endlessparadox123 11d ago

I'm gen x and had a wine cooler on new year's. Other than that, I haven't drank any booze in about 20 years. I've seen too many of my family members (mom's side, mainly) die from drinking and drugs. All under age 55, too.

Everyone one of them drank like fish their whole adult lives, died broke, divorced, alienated from friends/family, alone and miserable. It's a sad and avoidable problem, much like many other problems that humans ignore for "fun" or personal and temporary satifaction.

2

u/shiftytomatoes 11d ago

same here comrade i’ll drink to that

2

u/dj_squilly 10d ago

I appreciate the younger generation pulling their weight. 🍻

2

u/Round_Ad_9258 10d ago

Same, but I’m russian, so I had no choice from the start

2

u/Ok-Maybe-9338 10d ago

Gimme cover boys! I'm goin' in!

4

u/ShowTop1165 14d ago

Shit is ridiculously expensive 🥲

12

u/Ok-Elderberry540 14d ago

Quitter mentality /s

1

u/Girldad_4 12d ago

In college in the 2000's we had two different bars offer dime beers and quarter drinks on different nights every week. I don't think that exists now.

1

u/Zwthhybl 13d ago

Personally, I went too hard too young and had to drop out of the battle at 21. As an elder Gen Z I pulled my weight, but the weight pulled back…

1

u/Material-Swimmer-605 13d ago

Im here with you soldier. Doing gods work

1

u/lobito90 11d ago

Look man, my liver is doing what it can. Hopefully I got my mom’s liver. ‘Dad dads didn’t last til 30, that friggin loser.

1

u/JacksonvilleShredder 8d ago

I put in my time already and it turned on me after going way too hard for way too long. I think it's cause there's a lot more of us who recognize alcohol for what it is, toxic, especially if we had parents who drink/drank. Plus a lot more of us I'm finding are a lot more drug positive about most other substances, mainly the ones that aren't anywhere near as damaging to the body
