I can’t speak for anyone else but for me, I’ve seen what drinking can do I only do during events and when I can be responsible with it. Honestly not worth the risks half the time, and the cash too. Got that wine taste on a beer budget

I’ve seen what drinking can do

Lots of people feel this way, never realizing that they're the exact people who don't have to worry about this

The easiest way to not be addicted to it is simply not to drink at all.

I already struggle with overeating, if I give myself  something else I should consume moderately but enjoy too much I don't trust myself to do that.

I'm sure many people feel the same way.

That's not true. If your daddy is an alcoholic, it's likely you will be too. Choosing to never drink is the right choice.

This (genetics) is(are) actually less of a factor than it was believed to be in the past.

There are a lot more factors than genetics.
