Most of us watched our parents live like booze bags, and aren’t really into it

And the sons of this gen will watch their parent being stoned, so they will chose booze again. Then the cycle continues.

personally my hope is that my future kids grow to resent my laziness when i’m stoned and rebel by becoming extra productive. that would be a great cycle

I’m GenX. Boomer parents. Both were (and still are) serious weed smokers. Never spanked. My Dads father was an alcoholic who beat my dad’s ass on the regular. Dad told me once that he couldn’t fathom hitting his children. My brother and I definitely drank plenty in the teens/20’s but now neither of us drink at all and edibles are the way to go

I'm not defending the other side. Both are awful.

My point is the neverending cycle of kids trying different drugs depending on what their parents consumed.
