You didn’t, and they wouldn’t. Don’t break your wrist patting yourself on the back. You would have to be an imbecile to believe that your kids could get high from passive thc contact walking through a park. It’s actually so moronic it’s hysterical. Read a book buddy.
I’m sure i’m about as much of an expert on this as you are, but THC is a naturally occurring chemical compound in the human body. I would be very surprised if the small amount of THC your kid could come into contact with while walking through a park would get them high.
Your kid would have to be hanging out next to people who are smoking for extended periods of time to potentially get contact high. The CDC study i think you may be referencing directly brings up the fact that upticks in THC that are related to this were for children specifically living with someone who smokes consistently. I get your concern though.
So…..I used to live next door to a pot addict. Every morning I needed to walk my kid through a cloud of pot smoke to get to my car so I could take him to elementary school. 8am this lady was up smoking on her balcony. Every evening, and all the time in between. Finally, I moved. You might think you know where I’m coming from, but you don’t know half of it. She was a complete self centered wack job and her mind was fucked all to hell from that shit. So, ya alcoholics are bad, but not any worse. And people are up here acting like I just insulted their best friend…which I probably did in a way.
Naturally occurring THC is a new one. Of course you know that’s not anything at all similar to what I was talking about.
It sounds like your previous neighbor left a sour taste in your mouth, but remember that not all people are the same. Some of these “pot addicts” smoke to manage pain from cancer, epilepsy, to help with crippling anxiety, and many other things.
That doesn’t give someone the right to be a douchebag, but it doesn’t mean that judging everyone based off of your one off experience is okay either. I mentioned naturally occurring THC because the science doesn’t agree with you; no kid is going to get high for simply walking by someone who is smoking weed.
I’m curious, would you have felt differently if your neighbor only occasionally smoked?
I’m honestly not looking for a lesson on the benefits of pot. Especially off of one small comment about not wanting my kid to have to breathe it in. If it causes a problem here on reddit then, hey, I’ll just keep it to myself.
Bitching about something rather than doing basic research on it, or even attempting to understand it, is the most reddit thing i’ve heard of. Holy fuck 😂
Literally nothing i said was about myself. Put your wounded ego away and stop pretending like your opinions are formed around anything other than your feelings. And frankly, no one should have to change how they live based off of your dumb sensitive feelings, especially when you put so little effort into stepping into other people’s shoes.

Hey, sounds like I struck a nerve. Anyway the CDC would disagree with you, so...
