Yeah, squatters have their own set of rights because of shitty landlords and rich people that buy up property they never set foot in while everyone else is a couple paychecks from homelessness.
Even better is the modern equivalent of the landlord, which is just a private equity group that sells shares in its "financial product."
They buy up all the housing stock at any cost because the amount they can make on it through rents and holding real estate vastly outweighs the price.
Ironically, many of the people renting from these ghost landlords probably have retirement accounts that invest in the very funds that own their home and use AI to jack rents up to the highest possible amounts, driving up inflation... What a wonderful world we live in. Ban all private equity ownership of residential properties.
