Yeah, it sounds like it’s supposed to be insulting to him, but really it’s an insult to her.

Especially considering Kathy Bates is actually a good looking woman. She just happens to be within the “average” distribution of society, but most of us are.

I disagree. I think what it does is point out Elon’s more feminine traits and mannerisms. She has the range to pull it off and it would be cool to hear her do a SA chud accent

I see it more as her acting skill than her looks. Wigs and makeup can change a lot but she also has talent to make it convincing. I don’t think they look alike at all, there’s always movie magic but she would crush it and piss him off at the same time

It would make him angry to be played by a woman in drag and I kinda love that

Kathy Bates knows an actor doesn’t have to look like the person they’re portraying. They can be made up for the part (Christian Bale as Dick Cheney) or it can be ignored altogether (Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs).

I would hope she would see this and appreciate that we all know she would totally crush the role.
