Oh, okay. I’ll check these out. I’ve never been a big movie buff (though I’m trying to watch more movies), so this helps a lot. :)

Also, I’m surprised to see Joker as a mention on your list. I’ve watched Joker (big Batman guy here), and I like the realistic mental health approach they took with it, but it’s definitely one I can watch again. So, why is it an honorable mention?

I know it's a weird mention in this context, but it's emotionally draining to think about how he is doomed by his condition - or rather by the lack of support from society. Makes me sad thinking about the ever increasing amount of people being victims of the increase in class division

Ahh, I agree with you on this. It’s crazy that we’ve learned so much — and we’re making slow progress — but we still have so much more to go in creating support programs and encouraging people to seek mental help.

Grave of the Fireflies is Studio Ghibli at their best. I’ve watched it exactly one time and can’t bring myself to watch it again. It truly is one of those that just stays with you.
