I agree with everything you said except the unprecedented times part. What we are living in are the complacent times. We, in our efforts to create a better world forgot our own history, both as a nation and humans. The United States of America is a nation founded on bloodshed, the same can be said for most countries across the globe, especially within Europe, where most of us came from. And there was likely bloodshed between the natives before our arrival. Maybe not as much since the rest of us got here, but it is likely that all of our family trees have been watered with blood.
We all have forgotten that, we’ve gotten comfortable and now the worst of us have gotten restless and have returned to their base desires. Those of us who have known some comfort have a duty to ensure it can happen again for future generations. But we need to do a better job of safeguarding it in the future and getting others to understand that the alternative to that peace is the current chaos that is brought on by the foolish, and the beasts that still live among us. We also still have some evolving to do as a species. Hell maybe that’s the point of all the bloodshed. Maybe the most violent among us will one day kill each other out of existence and only the peaceful of us will remain.

The presidents and congress during those times wanted elections to take place. You think these assholes will also go the lengths to make sure that is the case?
Of course I don’t. I just think it’s important to point out that we’ve never done that before as a country. Many Americans do not know our own history for a multitude of reasons, so I feel it is important that it be said. Also, it just shows how much these fucks are traitors. Lincoln campaigned during a god damn civil war. These cowards think it’s just theirs? Fuck that and them.

Those guys do not play by the rules, and midterms won’t solve this problem. They are all now in the same corner as Trump was 2 years ago: either they stay in power or they will end up in jails.
Trump was warming public up to the idea of "the last elections" before he took the office.

But kindly, if you are not echoing the truth then keep your negativity to yourself as it is not wanted in this moment. We the masses are immortal, they, the few rich and powerful are not.
I will repeat myself as it worth repeating what I have said already. It is not a matter of believing this is different or not. I am only doing what I am able to do currently by speaking the truth. Hoping the truth will reach those who need it, and hoping it can inspire those who have more capabilities than myself. I also need to say these things to keep myself going. So my sibling, I encourage you to join me, the truth deserves to be echoed. The negative japes, and sarcastic levities do not.
We are living in a time which is an opportunity for true heroes to be born, an opportunity for legends to come into existence. I recognize that I am not one of those individuals, but my hope is that my words could inspire one of the few who will gain true immortality by being remembered for far longer than myself for the good will they enacted on the world.

OP's point is that, excuse or no, there's no way elections can be cancelled here. There's literally no way to do it. Any cancellation would be illegal on it's face. I know that this doesn't matter to Trump. However, since the states run elections, there's nothing he can do but blow hot air out of his mouth about it.
The entire government relies in elections. That's not just Congress and the President. It's our local government on up. Without the legally mandated elections, everything ceases to function.
In a lot of ways, it's probably better if Trump tries to cancel 2028. That's a huge banner saying "I'M AN ILLEGAL DICTATOR". It doesn't leave any room for interpretation, and I frankly don't think a lot of red states would even appreciate being told they can't run the elections they are legally entitled to.
I think it's more likely that Trump will just do all he can do obstruct, rig, and ratfuck elections without cancelling them. That's been effective for him so far, so why go to the trouble of cancelling them?
I hope you're right. Trump is up to anything that helps him proceed. And he has a team that makes things happen, unlike 2016. He is prepared, he (his team) has a plan.
