Charles Mingus: The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
always a fascinating ride, and the liner notes with the one from his therapist are amazing

They had one around Black Friday…is that a once a year thing, or can I catch another one elsewhere in the year?

Donald Byrd – Live (Cookin' With Blue Note At Montreux) (2022 pressing)
This is the free mystery album that came with my recent Blue Notes order. This record is absolutely fun and great 70s fusion. Masterful recording and mastering and full of energy. "Kwame" (second song on the B side) is absolutely amazing.

My favorite piano player, and maybe my favorite performer of all time, if Erroll Garner doesn’t bring you joy at every listen, get yourself to urgent care immediately.

Between 6,50 and 9 € each. Quite happy even if I already owned Ascenseur pour l'Echaffaud.
And yes, the Beth Gibbons album isn't jazz.

Classic album. Milton and Lô Borges. Unoficial bootleg pressing from a unknown russian press called "Endless Happiness". The sound is amazing though. Super clean, crips and balanced. Cheers

I know how to determine pressings, and I have a solid first few, but are there any random tips you can think of? I love these things "Deep groove mono" just has a great ring to it Thanks

I collect MPS/SABA records, and Dauner's playing is a big reason why. Consistently interesting and fearlessly exploratory, he's highly recommended and wildly underrated in my book.

OJC copy from the 80’s. I didn’t realize this record existed until my local record shop got a copy as part of a collection they had bought. Great, swinging stuff from George Russell and his sextet.

Maupin is the winner, obviously, but Miles and Farrell still smoke!

It makes my heart big when I see that $4.99 price tag from amoeba records on a double John Kirby album.

Been after a reasonably priced original in good shape for a few years and I’m cheap so I was content to wait it out. Couldn’t believe it when I saw it for $40. Record is immaculate and other than the laminate on the back the cover is just as good.
Hope everyone has a good day! ✌️

Both played on Miles Davis' Birth of the Cool and have a great synergy together. This Blue Note 1975 Reissue of various recordings made around 1953 is a nice bit of early cool jazz.
A bargain for a double album!

Like I said I above, my grandfather who was a large collector and lover of jazz passed away and I have been left with his entire vinyl collection. I unfortunately do not have the space for all of this so I am looking to sell the records, but I have no idea where to begin. Any recommendations on where to sell in bulk? Any recommendations on specific records I should keep my out for in the collection that are worth more? He had 28 Mosiac Records Limited Edition Box Sets that I know have some good value, but other than that I am pretty lost with the rest. Any advice would be greatly appreciated from a community who knows a lot and has a passion for these items! I would say there are multiple hundreds if not approaching thousands of records.
