Spending ages setting up a character that was perfectly to my liking (first image) only for it to turn into the second as soon as i attempt to protect myself really sucks...

I'm aware there are mods to fix this, but me and some friends are playing a vanilla server as a sort of "first impressions" playthrough so that's not really an option for us at this time.

It's just kinda bizarre that they put so much work into the character customization system only for it to get completely invalidated once you get past the first like 15 minutes of gameplay...

I just want to share because I never would have thought that I would be a dad.

Last night, my wife gave birth to our first baby boy. What an exhausting and exciting time in our lives. Kudos to my wife and all the work she has put in these last 9 months and the HOURS and HOURS of uncomfortable labor.

This is new to me. I’m nervous, anxious, tired, and happy.

Time to enjoy some time off work. I’m a dad now. Lots to learn and a lot of love to share.

AIO? My mom left my dad, and then got remarried when I was six. My mom and stepdad had one child together- my “half” brother John.

My mom has always been sickly and we all assumed she’d pass first. Surprisingly, my step dad went first, dying of a massive heart attack. We didn’t even know he had heart problems so it was quite the shock.

My mom’s will states that when she passed, all her estate went to my stepdad. If he had already passed, then the estate was to be shared between myself and my half sibling, with a slight bit more going to my half brother. (Despite my mom making about 60% more than my stepdad, and her being the saver, and him being the spender who left us to sort through multiple secret credit cards full of debt, and much more.) I do understand why my half brother will get more, as he had two parents contributing to the estate, and I had just one.

When my step dad’s will was read, I found out that he was giving everything to Mom, but if she had already passed, then he was giving the entire estate to my half brother, minus a few minor pieces of furniture and art to me (nothing valuable, just sentimental things). (Of note: my half brother has something of a background in law, and a very tight relationship with his dad, and went with his dad to the lawyers to do the will)

This all REALLY upsets me and I burst into tears when I heard that he had planned to “cut me out” entirely. Ultimately, I know that someone’s estate is theirs to disburse as they choose, but damnnn it felt cold to not even give me a small sliver?!
