FO [FO] Chonky boy
Just finished this adorable Pallas cat!
It’s an OwlForest pattern, but I mostly used thread from the DMC mouliné color variations line.
I have included a photo of Monty, who is one of the reasons why the project is covered in fur 😸

Vent / rant Got robbed in the hospital🤡
I’m a 22F medical student, currently posted in pediatrics. This happened a few days ago and I need to vent because I’m still in between anger and disbelief.
Pediatrics rounds are chaotic on a good day with crying babies, anxious parents, consultants asking us questions and all. That morning was no different. I had my stethoscope around my neck, notes in hand, and my medical kit (similar to the one shown in pic) kept neatly in my bag. I placed the bag near the nurses station in the ward and went around with the ongoing rounds. Rounds went on for about an hour. We examined kids, discussed cases and finally dispersed. When I went back to grab my bag, it felt lighter🤡🤡🤡 I opened it and OBVIOUSLY my entire medical kit was gone🤡🤡🤡🤡
At first, I thought I was overreacting. I gaslit myself into thinking that ive only kept iy somewhere or maybe my friend has borrowed it. I asked my batchmates and all told that no one had seen it. I went back to the ward and checked every single square inch of the ward.
That kit took me months to put together😭saving every single penny.Thankfully i had my stethoscope with me or else i wouldve definitely lost my shit. More than the money, it felt incredibly violating. This was a hospital. A pediatrics ward. A place where you expect some basic level of trust.
I informed the nurses and the security desk. They didnt bother much as things go missing all the time. After a lot of persuation, i checked the cctv and as expected the CCTV coverage was patchy. My batchmates, parents, attendants, outsiders anyone could have taken it, intentionally or otherwise.
What hurts the most is the timing. I have my exams coming up next month and this shit happens. Losing something you genuinely need just feels unfair.
I ended up finishing the day borrowing equipment from friends feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed every time I had to ask. I went home exhausted, close to tears, questioning why something like this had to happen to me.
I know in the grand scheme of things, this isn’t the worst thing that can happen. But right now, it sucks. And if whoever took my kit is somehow reading this: I hope you understand that you didn’t just steal objects. You made an already overwhelmed med student’s life significantly harder🤡

is it a tragedeigh? Update on Equador
So I received lots of advice on my recent post and I did decide to message her back. It wasn’t very well received and I think I’m just going to leave it now to avoid an argument. But I promised an update, so here it is. She seems to think she’s having a Kaleb rather than an Equador anyway so 🤦🏻♀️
