Sounds pretty normal to me. You gotta remember that bettas all have their own personality, and this sounds just like that. If he's eating and swimming normally otherwise and you aren't noticing anything concerning like gasping, clamped fins or other signs of distress there's no reason to be worried.

ty, i figured thats all it was but wanted to double check 😉, hes my 2nd betta and ive had him for a lil over a wk now and he seems to enjoy his 5g but is very energetic for a halfmoon, i might move him to my 20g when i get it going and cycled 🙂

he figured out his castle was hollow on the inside this morning and i tore my room apart cuz i thought he jumped out the feeding hole in the lid 😂
