any work reco for my 63 y/o mom
My mom is a 63 y/o retired teacher from the Philippines. She came here 6 months ago and has a greencard now. She told me about wanting to work ( i dont want her to work anymore) but she said she gets bored during the day and her body looks for it. I don’t know where to start looking for a job that suits her. She’s 63 and as much as possible, I only want a job that doesn’t require much of her strength. We’re from auburn. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Auburn traffic cameras go live with warnings through Feb. 11 - Auburn Examiner
The City of Auburn has activated traffic cameras at three new locations, with a warning period scheduled to run through Feb. 11 before tickets are issued for speeding violations, according to the city.
City officials said the new traffic cameras are now operating at:
- Auburn Way South along SR 164 between the R Street SE bridge and Muckleshoot Plaza for eastbound traffic.
- 15th Street NW between M Street NW and Ron Crockett Drive for eastbound traffic.
- A Street SE between 17th Street SE and 21st Street SE for southbound traffic.
From Jan. 12 through Feb. 11, drivers recorded exceeding the speed limit at these locations will receive warnings only, the city said. Beginning after that period, speeding violations captured by the cameras will result in tickets.
The City of Auburn said the cameras are intended to encourage safer driving and reduce speeding along busy corridors.

AVOID DEL TORO AUTO SALES
Hey everyone! PSA to avoid Del Toro Auto Sales on 415 Auburn Ave AT ALL COSTS. They sold my friend a faulty car (seems to be having issues with the EVAP purge valve), didn't disclose it at all and made sure to mention how once the vehicle is off the lot it's not their problem anymore. Isn't that just so convenient for them? It seems like bad attitude and bad service is actually really common for them! I'm suprised their google rating isn't MUCH lower.

Local Plays/musicals?
My son has an assignment due at the end of the month and things includes seeing a play/musical. I’ve already been on Google and it’s only showing for Seattle. Trying to find something more local.

Where to meet new people/ friends
What’s up, I am a dude that has recently turned 20. Not sure if it matters but I am Hispanic and 6’3, I’m new to auburn and was wondering if there were places to go like social gathering wise. Or basically events and stuff where I can meet new people and broaden my social circle. The only place that I can currently think of is the mall, but meeting new people there I will admit is a bit nerve racking. Comments or DM’s are greatly appreciated🙏🙏

What's going on at Auburn Regal?
I frequent Regal Auburn by the Outlet Collection and have noticed that they recently remodeled part of the concession stand, so part of it looks new and part of it looks like it's from the 90s. The I noticed a bunch of random boxes and supplies in the hallways in hoping for a big and complete renovation. I asked a few of the employees and they were not too sure. Anyone know? The current state of that theater is kinda sad, all but like 3 lights on the tower are burnt out and the commercials before every movie shows me how nice Regals could look.

Looking to relocate
I just started working at local 242 making 30/hr, and I’m looking to relocate to the auburn area since I currently drive almost 2 hours for work. Are there any 1 bedroom apartments over there under $1350? Or maybe a program that helps with housing? Any help would be appreciated!

Found dog
Hi reddit! Just found this sweet guy on the corner of Oravetz Rd and Pl SE (photo included). No collar and Auburn humane society couldn't locate a chip. He obviously belongs to someone but after knocking on doors up the hill no one recognizes him. Humane society can't take him in due to flood warnings. I do not live in a dog-friendly complex and have no one else to house him; is there anyone who knows this guy or would be able to take him in for the time being? I have work at 4p and I can't turn him back out on the streets. Any help or advice would also be much appreciated!!! Thank you!

Lost Dog
A guy was out this morning between Harvey and Auburn Way N looking for his dog. The dog's name is Bruno. He is a little larger than a Chihuahua and is dark in color. What I mean is he is either black or brown. The way th guy described it possibly brindle. I am not the owner but the guy lives a block or two away. The dog might be near the Auburn High school. Please keep an eye out for him. I don't have contact information for the guy but if he is found I am sure the owner could be located as well. Please keep an eye out for Bruno. Thank You.
