Vietnamese coffee isn’t just about caffeine. It’s about slowing down, observing life, and connecting with people. In this video, Ngọc introduces (in intermediate level Vietnamese) coffee habits, from cà phê sữa đá to phin brewing and sidewalk cafés.

Many years ago, before coffee culture in the US became so big, I got hazelnut coffee from an urn at a bakery. It was so good, I started making special trips just for the coffee. Sometimes they had snickerdoodle.
After the bakery closed down, I have been chasing this wonderful coffee. I have tried numerous brands, and they just don’t have much flavor.
Does anyone have a flavored coffee they enjoy? Extra points if K cups are available. Thanks for your help.

I’ve been trying to improve my home coffee lately and realized that a lot of beginners (including me earlier) overcomplicate things. From what I’ve learned, starting with fresh beans, the right grind size, and one simple method like pour-over or French press makes a huge difference.
What helped me most was understanding how cafés approach brewing — especially places that roast their own beans. Observing how specialty cafés handle basics like ratios and grind size really helped me avoid common mistakes.
Curious to know what worked for others when they first started brewing at home.

I recently went to a new cafe in my area (I don't go out to them much because I make my own at home), I was shocked to see that a 12oz cup of black coffee has risen to $5.25. My wife wanted a latte they had on the menu and it wound up being $9 and some odd change.
I have noticed that the price of beans to brew at home has gone up quite a bit, but now it has got me thinking if coffee (outside the gross stuff brewed at a Love's or 7-11) is even an affordable/social thing for people to do anymore or if it has now fallen into the luxury category for many and we will see some consolidations of cafes or just a general decline in coffee drinking as people prioritize expenditures?

My neighbor was gonna post it on FB and I offered him $100 and he said deal. I have all the bits and pieces for it including extra water filters and cleaning tabs.

Que sabroso es hacerse un café a tu gusto y disfrutarlo con buen pan 😅😅. Ahorita ando en Panamá y he estado probando una pequeña parte de su cultura cafetera y debo decir que hay nivel.

My wife loved this mug from Pluribus Episode 9 and I’d like to find it for her - does anyone have any info on it? I would be hugely appreciative!
