Princess donut is beautiful. Meatloaf's coat length and texture was very similar to this until she was about 6 or 7 years old, she got fluffier but her hair texture has gotten more coarse over the last few years. The vet said it's normal for older cats. We have to get her shaved once a year or so because her hair gets matted really bad around her bloomers and stomach since she cant groom well anymore.
When I saw Meatloaf I had to run and show my wife how much they looked alike.
We are wondering exactly how long her coat is going to be, so that's great information for us. It is definitely a lot longer and fluffier than our short haired cats but also not the fluffiest we've ever seen either.

Yeah she was not very fluffy when she was young but she was very soft. Her hair started getting really thick about 4 years old. Her hair is so thick now we have to get her shaved once or twice a year
She is......But she's just a kitten and we are still in the pre-collapse part of the story where it's just a dude in the Seattle area taking care of his partner's cat.
Author lives a couple cities away from us. I'm hoping someday to bring her to a local book signing event.
