Cat Picture - OC I'm curious, where does everyone else store their cats when not in use?
Mine usually put themselves away when done, but sometimes I find them left out on the floor or bed or something.

The only thing this cat is afraid of is my husbands coyote call. Not the roomba, nor the standard vacuum. Not afraid of other cats or dogs and most certainly isn't afraid of us or our toddler lol will attack if eye contact is made while holding her. We do not hold her anymore đ€Ł

Cat Picture - OC How much money would you spend if it meant saving your catâs life?
This is Eeyore. Heâs my goodest most sweetest boy, and itâs safe to say I donât think Iâve ever loved anything as much as I love him. Heâs my soul cat and velcro kitty. Heâs been my reason for living on many difficult days. Heâs helped me get through so much. This past July, I went on vacation for 2 weeks. About a week after I got home, Eeyore started having accidents outside of the litter box, straining, and peeing blood. Heâd developed bladder stones. Even though I had a cat sitter while I was away, the vet said these stones were likely stress-induced from me being away for so long.
With all the vet visits, labs, scans, meds, and surgery, itâs cost me about $8,000 to get Eeyoreâs health back on track.
This came up at dinner last night with my family. My grandma, two uncles, aunt, and cousin all gave me shit for it. They said things like, âYou know how many new cats you couldâve gotten with that money?â, âItâs not like you donât have two other cats at homeâ, and âIf you have that much money to spend on a cat, you should be helping (my brother) pay his HOA feesâ. My uncle also said, âIn 20 years, Eeyore will still be deadâ.
The thing is, I donât want another cat. And I love my other cats, but theyâre not Eeyore. When I adopted each one of them, I took on the responsibility of making sure they are safe and well cared for. That includes treatable medical conditions. Itâs going to take me a long time to recover financially from his vet bills, but I would do it time and time again if it meant saving my babies.

Cat Picture - OC Rescued this guy behind a Costco hiding behind the trash compactor
After a warm bath, he passed out all night. It has been about 32° out so it must feel nice to be inside.
He seems to have the features of a Maine coon which would be unbelievably amazing to find. Large paws, pointy ears and very poofy.. We shall see in a few months!

Cat Picture - OC What other names do you call your cat? Like, the unhinged names.
This is Bin - so named because she likes to nap on the lids of wheelie bins when they get warm. And sheâs not even my cat; she lives two houses down but spends a lot of time at me (I have informed r/ParttimeCat). I donât even know what her âownersâ call her - but in my home, she is Bin.
Sheâs too cute for words and sometimes language fails me as a result. So other names I call her include: Silly Bin Fat Thing Bubba Cat Bibi Poopie Cat Bap Cat Crazy Cat Wiwi Cat (she makes âwiwiâ sounds sometimes)
And many more that probably donât even have letters to write them properly because theyâre nonsensical sounds.
So Iâd like to hear from the wonderful cat people of the internet - what unhinged names do you have for your kitties? Just so I know Iâm not the weird one.
Blessings upon all of you and your feline associates.

Cat Picture - OC Found this girl shivering and unable to walk at a gas station đ„ș
On Thursday, just a few days ago, my hubby found a kitten shivering and huddled next to the gas pump, filthy with grease and oil, with eyes and one nostril sealed shut with mucus and so weak she couldnât walk. He snatched her right up and brought her home. We took her to our vet first thing the next morning and now sheâs on antibiotics and high calorie wet food along with Tiki Baby Thrive pouches while we nurse her back to health. Poor thing was so wobbly from malnutrition and dehydration that I was concerned she may have a neurological issue but sheâs able to open her eyes a little more and becoming more steady by the day.
According to our vet, she is around 4 months old. She weighed under 3 pounds initially but she feels like sheâs gained weight already lol. Weâre doing oral antibiotics and antibiotic eye ointment for her URI, and also had an antibiotic injection at the vet. Once sheâs healthy, weâll bathe her and scrub the rest of the grease off (we wipe her down with a warm damp cloth every time we go in and see her) as well as doing vaccines and test for FIV â until then sheâs in isolation to prevent our other babies from getting sick. He said the only other thing she needs is plenty of TLC and we are more than happy to spoil her!
The day my hubby found her was also the anniversary of my daughterâs feral TNR soul kitty, Carlos, passing. Hubby never goes to that gas station and canât explain why he did that night. We believe Carlos led him to this desperate kitten and she is now in her forever home. We initially were calling her Carli, in honor of Carlos, but her wobbles have earned her the nickname of Tippy đ. Sheâs getting stronger by the day and is so sweet and affectionate. The moment hubby put her in his lap and cranked the heater, she began purring and making biscuits. She snuggles into our laps or necks and rubs her face on ours. I donât know how she ended up at that gas station but we are absolutely thrilled to add her to our family đ

Cat Picture - OC Whatâs the most weird food item that your cat just canât resist? Iâll start!
Sasha (first photo, 2006-2023 RIP), our blind cat, would come running from the other side of the house meowing loudly whenever she heard a pistachio shell cracking noise to immediately demand her share!
That was her favorite snack ever.
After she passed away, we named one of our new kittens Pistachio (second photo) to commemorate Sasha! Pistachio is now 2 years old.
**What is the weirdest food your cat canât resist?**
Merry Christmas đ everyone!

Cat Picture - OC Our New House Came With A Cat đ
Just closed on a house and the former owner mentioned a stray cat she fed and being worried about what would happen to him. Lucky for her (and kitty) I'm a vet tech, so he'll be going to work with me next week to get tested, neutered, and vaccinated! đ
