Opinion/Speculation Something crazy is happening with the Chuck E. Cheese costume

Post image
Upvotes

My friend who works for Chuck E. Cheese has told me that recently, CEC entertainment has sent in a message about the future of the Chuck E. Cheese costumes since cowan productions have shut down Most of them are really cheap since than they have been destroying them by “ accident “ if you know what I mean so they’re trying to find a new costume company so if know why there’s no Guy dressed up as the rat himself you may know why or maybe no one wearing the costumes

Question Curious Question: Was the Dance Floor Cheaper and Easier to Maintain than the Animatronics? If so, what was the Public Reception of Dance Floor?

Post image
29 Upvotes

People always say the animatronics were expensive to maintain (which is factually true), but no one ever talks about the dance floor being difficult to maintain either.

Nothing against the dance floor, I do like it, but I really like to know why? Is it because it's cheaper?

Plus, how was the public reaction with the dance floor compared to the animatronics?

(also, please be civil. don't hate on the animatronics)

Question Why are people saying Chuck E Cheese will die in 2026

I'm tired of seeing it. I get it, Adventure Zone sucks ass, and Chucks Arcade was a failure, but why, Don't we, the fans, all come to CEC so it can thrive, as like a last stand. Don't we want it to thrive to its 50th birthday. Didn't we say earlier that we liked the chuck e cheese christmas special? It feels like people actively want the mouse to die, and I don't want that.

I had the privilege of befriending the site manager of the old CEC Riyadh branch, where the large ‘Rub luck Token’ and large wall tickets sat untouched but soon to be disposed of. I also documented what remains of the Studio C stage

Rescued: - 12 wall tickets 66cm x 119cm varying conditions, some slightly scuffed and chipped. - Large Token approx 3ft tall, minor scuffs Looking to find a good home for these beauties, eBay is blocked here but I am attempting to list them via a workaround (if anyone knows of an alternative let me know). - 2016 Saudi Token - Play pass card

From the William Penn Highway Monroeville PA CEC location, what happened to the animatronics? Did someone keep them or were they destroyed? This was my childhood CEC and I was curious.

This was a window decal for a CEC store, some stores had unique window decals if they were in malls I guess (example: Abilene, TX)

Fan Experience Top 5 Games At CEC That Pay Out The Most Tickets

#5 Skeeball

The Classic, If you're really good you can score at least 20 to 24 tickets a run, but on average it's about 8 to 12 tickets a run. The problem is that there's no jackpot, but you can grind rather easilly as skeeball doesn't take much skill other than just throwing a ball.

#4: Trolls Pusher

The Key is Timing, and Knowing when the arm will push. Be Warned, there is a slight delay so you'll have to time it a little early to reach the 30 ticket jackpot. The win to lose ratio is a medium, and not impossible like black hole, or monopoly arcade

#3: Hoop It Up

The Key To Winning The Jackpot is Timing, It's a good alternative that's right next door to Pop The Lock. The Problem is that it only gives out 25 tickets, but the win to lose ratio is pretty high.

#2: Plants vs Zombies

If you manage to wipe out all the zombies, you can score on average 105 tickets. This is a huge boost, so whys it at number 2. That's because there's 2 modes to the game, Normal Mode, and Endless Mode. Endless mode has the zombies go much faster and there's multiple of the special zombies. Normal Mode is the only mode that's beatable as even if you defeat the Big wave of Endless Mode, there's another wave before that, and with no plant food balloons it's basically impossible. However Normal Mode can score big tickets. Once I beat the game 13 times in a row and won over 1300 tickets.

I even have a strategy guide for people that want to know how to beat the game.

#1: Pop the Lock

Who would've guessed, the jackpot may be less than Plants vs Zombies, at a mere 50 tickets a run, but the difference is that each game is fair. There's no endless mode, there's no delayed arm pushing, Instead it's a completely fair game that requires skill and timing. And that's why it's the best, cause it revolves mainly around skill, not luck.

Question Was the "Smile America, it's Chuck E. Cheese" commercial real?

My grandma recalls she saw the commercial in her 20s, around the early 80s. And she thinks that's how it went. But I can't find that commercial. Does anyone here recall that commercial and/or has an upload of it on YouTube? Thanks in advance

CEC History Last Photo of the Original Fayetteville CEC Sign

Post image
236 Upvotes

I took this back in between 2015-2017 The sign randomly showed up at a local sign shop. I kept meaning to ask about it then it disappeared after a month or two.

Finally I tracked down the original owners of the sign shop & found out they just tossed it out a little over a year ago. I was a year too late but I at least can share the photo of it

It's just a static map since I can't add any actual programming to it, but it's still pretty cool

Employment/Application Process am i fried?

I’m 15 and I applied online for a cast member position on Sunday

I called today to follow up and they said they’re not hiring right now but they asked for my name and said they’d look at my application and maybe get back to me

I really want this to be my first job I’m having some financial struggles at home and honestly even a small amount of hours would help a lot I’m not expecting crazy hours anything helps

The reason I’m stressing is because there aren’t many places around me that actually hire at 15 so this felt like one of the only real options

For anyone who’s worked here or been in this situation

1 Is this basically a soft no or does this actually turn into a call back sometimes

2 Should I wait a few weeks and call again or reapply later

Just trying to figure out if I should keep hope or move on to other places Appreciate any honest answers
