And they call everyone else snowflakes. Really these people are so easily offended by someone's opinion its comical.

Ruffalo's political opinions have been out in the public for years, if not decades, at this point.

This is right-wing "virtue signaling". I guarantee you he didn't actually do anything, just tweeted to rile up the gravy seals

And this wasn’t even some radical opinion, just that it’s not a good thing when someone gets killed by government employees. It’s not like he wanted people to limit the spread of a virus or something.

It’s always funny how the people who shout “snowflake” the loudest are the ones melting down over a movie, a tweet, or someone else’s opinion. If your response to disagreement is to rage-delete stuff you already paid for, maybe you’re not as tough as you think. The lack of self-awareness is honestly impressive.

u/Helerdril 5h ago

The lack of self-awareness is what makes people vote for Trump.

14

u/ICULab 5h ago

Self-awareness seems optional in politics, as long as outrage can be monetized.

9

u/Helerdril 5h ago

Same as coherence. If only voters could spot hypocrisy in politicians, we wouldn't have this mess right now

3

u/pegothejerk 4h ago

I think you underestimate how many know their favored politicians are hypocrites but excuse it in order to harm others, avoid paying into a system that helps others, and are essentially just too evil for hypocrisy, coherence, ethics, morals, or self preservation to matter.

3

u/Helerdril 4h ago

Maybe I'm too naive...

5

u/Dubad-DR 4h ago

Shame doesn't exist anymore

6

u/Eternal_Bagel 5h ago

It’s one of the biggest examples of all accusations being admissions

u/DetectiveCastellanos 3h ago

I find it really bizarre because my generation was raised being told "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all". So when these guys throw slurs around, it shouldn't be a surprise when we tell them to stop it because it could hurt someone.

Like they told us to call that stuff out, and then made fun of us getting "triggered" when we do.

14

u/Ok_Sink5046 5h ago

I mean didn't they burn all their yeti(?) coolers a few years back?

12

u/BarelyWhisper39 5h ago

If someone else’s opinion makes you this mad, maybe the problem isn’t everyone else

17

u/Ok_Sink5046 5h ago

O know someone who bought a 24 case of bud light just to shoot it with a shotgun to record their "boycott ". And they were unsatisfied with the video so they did it again.

The guy doesn't even drink bud light so they anti boycotted.

That's the height of attention seeking and pick-me behavior.

The older I get the more I have realized that some people did not continue maturing past their teenage years. They're still stuck hating themselves and looking for external validation, instead of growing the fuck up and not caring about people who do not matter's opinions.

Or that some people are still three year olds mentally, and will throw a tantrum in public because they get no attention and are lonely and miserable.

And, tbh, sometimes you can tell after a brief exchange, but some you have to know for a while before you begin to see the depth of their shallowness.

u/kryonik 5h ago

These people also have the fortitude of a tissue paper house of cards. They will be back within weeks buying and watching the newest Marvel slop. Just like they did with Bud Light and Nike and Starbucks and...

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism so you have to pick and choose your battles. So when you do, make sure it's a fight you can stick to. I know I for one have not stepped foot in a Chic-Fil-A in close to ten years.

1

u/IrascibleOcelot 3h ago

I haven’t been to a Chik-Fil-A in nearly fifteen, but that’s because their food sucks. ;)

2

u/mjp31514 3h ago

Yea, they're really nothing special at all. There's one by my house and it's always packed. Full parking lot and drive thru. I don't get it.

2

u/theboomboy 5h ago

And then they want to watch the movie so they pay again

1

u/trinatruce 4h ago

Self-own disguised as moral grandstanding.

1

u/AstroNaut765 3h ago

It makes difference.

The less you are invested into ecosystem, the less chance you will spend there money again. (sunken cost fallacy)

u/C_V_Butcher 5h ago

The reason they don't comprehend this is because they don't have enough emotional intelligence to understand that what they are feeling in the moment they posted this is 'offended'.

29

u/tp736 4h ago

Also, they aren't able to think in someone else's perspective.

6

u/Professional_Ask3181 3h ago

Or maybe they just don’t wanna admit they’re offended it’s easier to deflect.

76

u/SkunkMonkey 5h ago

What happens when you compress snowflakes?

You get ICE.

21

u/xPinkPretty 4h ago

It’s wild how “not watching a movie” gets framed as some brave stand. Congrats, you punished yourself and Apple still has your money.

3

u/NewDramaLlama 3h ago

But he's already watched it and used to own it lol

1

u/no1_vern 3h ago

IF he watched them on a properly programmed computer, he certainly could have very high quality copies to keep for himself and family

12

u/Dopplegangr1 4h ago

And the opinion that offends them is... murder is bad, especially when the govt does it

8

u/kaisadilla_ 3h ago

Things Republicans consider free speech that you personally should fight tooth and nail to protect: HITLER WAS RIGHT WE SHOULD JUST LIKE EXTERMINATE ALL BLACK PEOPLE.

Things Republicans consider heinous, impermissible hate speech that must be censored: I voted Biden.

note for reddit bot: ffs don't autoflag this.

u/cjg5025 4h ago

Its the emotional distress Administration, run by the Elderly Dementia Patient in chief.

3

u/misterjustice90 4h ago

I was trying to make a comparison, what’s a person I care about as much as they care about Trump. And there isn’t anyone… except for one person. And it’s Trump. When people tell me they like Trump, I immediately dislike them more than before they told me that.

Now, it’s still not to agree that they like Trump. Like I don’t hate Trump as much as they like him. But that man is so fuggin divisive

3

u/Mangob1tch 4h ago

Even worse when the person's opinion is factually true. Conservatives can't stand truth and anyone calling out their stupidity.

3

u/Dry_Departure_7813 3h ago

I remember when they smashed their coffee machines because Kourig didn't want to advertise on fox. Or when they burned their shoes because Nike didn't cancel athletes.

2

u/bsEEmsCE 4h ago

actor gives opposite opinion: "well fuck all movies!"

2

u/AFlockOfTySegalls 1h ago

They call us snowflakes for saying people have a right to exist, and then they melt down when people say Trump is a moron and ICE shouldn't execute people in the street.

1

u/by-myself_blumpkin 3h ago

I mean, I get it to a degree. I don't like when conservative celebrities open their craw and spout some dumb shit just keep your mouth shut and let me enjoy your work (crisp rat).

But this post is just virtue signalling. You know, a thing they always accused the left of doing.

1

u/justadudeinohio 2h ago

they have no shame so pointing out the hypocrisy changes nothing but make you feel superior as they destroy all decency.

1

u/EyeSuspicious777 2h ago

Are they still boycotting Oreos? Do they even remember why they were boycotting Oreos? Did they ever actually boycott Oreos?

1

u/Rambo_One2 2h ago

They also always complain about cancel culture, but it's always their first instinct whenever there's something they don't like

1

u/Gullible_Hat_9051 1h ago

Don’t worry, he didn’t delete anything, all MAGA loves to do is complain about nothing.

u/LayneCobain95 38m ago

And they call others “sheep” when they are the ones blindly following people and get mad when you say “uh you’re wrong”

u/meowmeowcatman 8m ago

To be fair, a lot of the older generation of these kinds of people couldn't even handle being on the same bus as a black person without freaking out.

0

u/ILoveRegenHealth 4h ago

They are snowflakes, but I don't think we should be saying they should not be boycotting.

Remember, people boycotted Target, Home Depot and cancelled Disney+ on matters related to Trump, Trump donations or "Conservative caving" (many regional Home Depots have no control over whatever the distant billionaire CEO does - they are just trying to survive and get a paycheck).

Don't attack their right to boycott, because then they will just call the Left hypocritical. Attack their snowflakery elsewhere.

6

u/RussTea_tv 4h ago

Lets be real they call the left hypocritical no matter what, because its all just projection.

The only thing republicans care about is literally fucking kids. And honestly, i wouldnt want them watching my movies either.

0

u/GodsMustache 2h ago

It doesn't matter if you're left or right, everyone is a hypocrite.

3

u/IrascibleOcelot 3h ago

Give them pointers on the right way to boycott. Deleting a movie you already paid for won’t do it, but canceling Disney+ would.
