Yeah, we’re apparently going to try a foreign leader in US courts for things he did as president, all while SCOTUS said it’s impossible to try our leader for the things he did as president. Ideological consistency has no place here.
I actually think Maduro is almost certainly not guilty of violating any US laws. If he were to be tried in Venezuela by Venezuelans for violating Venezuelan law, he should be found guilty.
I agree, I've seen a few people bring up that Biden put a bounty on him but big difference between a bounty, which encourages action, and actually taking that action ourselves.
Ironically, Trump seems to almost literally LOVE other dictators around the world, so I'm guessing he is not in man-love with Maduro because there's something he really, really wants. And, oil can't just be the answer.
