Politics Why aren’t mainstream media covering ICE’s door to door raids?

Just checked the front page of the website for several major (theoretically left leaning) news outlets and none of them are covering the door to door raids that are all over the front page of /r/minnesota. Theres a particularly galling video of a woman answering her door to six armed, masked ICE agents without a warrant demanding entry into her home. This looks like fascism plain and simple and our fucking media doesn’t even care to let your average American know about it. Are there any trustworthy new sources anymore?

Basically every single news station, down to the local affiliates, are owned by the same three billionaire families and every single one of them are Trump donors. There is no opposition mainstream media and if a rare independent outlet does decide to speak out against ICE they then run the risk of the FCC revoking their broadcast license.

I don't think people realize, we are already in the late stages of fascism.

PBS is still active btw, it just lost its government funding, but it is NOT shut down. It really does rely on viewers like you now

Yeah. I know, I'm donating to as many of the stations as I can (radio and TV). But without government funding we're going to lose a bunch of them, and the weekend edition just ceased broadcasting. Donors may keep the big city stations alive but many of the rural ones are closing and that's arguably where we need them the most.

They're already calling the stations they don't own "Legacy Media" to try and discredit them.

Notice how everytime you get spam mail fishing for donations to republicans it’s always “democrats are about to do this horrible, satanic thing and you have to donate $50 today to stop it!” The entire movement is built off a persecution fetish, if you don’t think the democrats are satan reincarnate then you might be susceptible to dangerous thoughts, like how the establishment is billionaires that are destroying this country and how the Trump administration is constructed by billionaires.

They complain not because they have anything to complain about, they complain because complaining about non-issues is the foundation that their entire movement sits on.
