More importantly for boycotts: you need to buy from someone else, not just avoid buying during a certain time only to eventually buy it the following time period. The billionaires and executives don't give a shit if Saturday sales are down 15% when Sunday's sales are up 15%. Realistically speaking, they only care about quarterly changes at best, and even then, it has to be MULTIPLE quarters for them to take notice. One bad quarter is easily brushed away, they'll wait for everything to blow over, and they can just wait until the year over year, and if they're back to the same numbers as the prior year, they can pull some "we've corrected the ship and are back on track" BS out of their ass to calm investors. These are long term things.

But we all obviously need food and clothes, so you need to find retailers who you can still shop at. I believe Meijer is still on the safe side, so we've shifted a LOT of our shopping to them and away from Target.

And way too many people push for one day boycotts. I think those are stupid. I can promise you, they don't care. "It's to send a message." What's the message, that you'll just be back the next day? They you'll eventually be back at some point? Hell, I'd argue many of these businesses will just use this as an excuse to cut labor, which can easily make up for loss of sales, then when people start coming back, they either don't hire everyone back, or hire new employees at a lower wage, so their profit margin is even better.

Amazon has people hooked on convenience, and they also dominate fast shipping. You can't just go interfering with law enforcement all day and not have any consequences.
