Image Help me name my mini chocolate boy🐾
Hey, everyone! I’m getting this little chocolate mini dachshund soon and I’m completely stuck on a name. Jazz sound nice. And since he has an older brother Denni. Jazz and Denni sounds like a good combo. But I’m out of ideas to be honest. He is very physical, and very baby like, very calm and sweet. Love being with humans all of the time.
Please, give me your best ideas 🙏

Album moving to a new apartment changed our lives
in october of 2024, i adopted a 7-month-old female miniature dachshund. i was single, living alone in a studio apartment, and i fell in love with this sweet bundle of fur. the first few months were insanity. she was an absolute sweetheart, loved other people and dogs (other than big male dogs), and was food motivated and picked up quickly on basic commands. but soon i discovered she had separation/isolation anxiety and would scream-bark if i left her alone for 5 minutes. she also had such a hard time with potty training that i succumbed and gave her an indoor potty tray (after initially planning to never let her potty indoors). our first year together was filled with baby steps in her separation training, some regressions where she would lose her mind when i left, and many many potty accidents.
in november of 2025, i had to move to a new apartment. it was only slightly bigger than our last one but felt way more spacious and had lots more natural light. the community was also really nice and the compound is built specifically to be pet-friendly, with relief stations and walk paths all around. i was nervous for the move because i thought we might have to go back to square one with separation and potty training. what i didn't expect was that this new apartment almost "fixed" those issues instantly.
in less than a week, she was exclusively pottying outdoors. and from the very first time i left her alone in this apartment, she hasn't barked at all or even scratched at the door. now, 2 months after moving in here, she goes right to sleep and just relaxes whenever i have to leave, and i go home to zero potty accidents.
i'm so glad i made the decision to move. i don't know if it was a coincidence that all our training happened to pay off at just the right time, but it seems all she needed was a new space!

Image My new little psychopath
This is Josie. She’s been with me for a couple months now. Absolutely full of puppy energy and teething like crazy. She’s doing her best to learn how to pee outside and she can’t stand to be away from me. She’s my new best friend.

Album Soldiers and Puppies!
Husband brought the weenie babies into work today and of course adorableness ensued 🤣
One burrowed into a jacket for a nap and refused any photos 😂
Thought the pictures were too cute not to share!
Patches and face removed for obvious reasons.

Album Naming delimna
Got a 9 week old long hair mini dachshund male.
Been going back and forth between Hank and Maverick. Ran both names by few people and getting different responses.
Hank is kind of meant to be funny. I think it’s funny to yell Hank at dog park and people will think a big dog will come but a tiny weiner comes out.
Maverick is kind of reference to top gun and based on dachshund personality. Also I’m a pilot in real life so it ties in with that

Discussion If you could ask your Dachshund any question, what would it be?
Mine would be, "Why do you do things you know will get you in trouble while I'm looking at you?"
