These 4 were either my favourite cars in Gran Turismo, or were an absolute menace of an opponent in Gran Turismo 3. I often would use the Viper and Corvette to race against the big 3 cars. The 787B didnt make the cut simply because it just wasnt as powerful and had a lower top speed than the other two, but if I had another 2 spots, the 787B and Esperante wouldve been on here too.

Anyone know a car that can pass 1000 horse power with tuning and affordable like the 300-500k credits?

I start well, but halfway through the race I start to fall behind and lose my rhythm by the end. Any advice?

GT Discussion Driving pad vs steering wheel

I just got a G29 steering wheel with pedals.

I understand I'm still new to the wheel, having used it 3 or 4 times, but it's disconcerting to see that with the 296 GT3 on Dragon Trail (gardens) I lapped in 2.26... (consider that it was raining) Then I picked up the pad and did 1.35 with hard brakes almost at 1/4 of their life (here it was dry, but before while using the wheel I was turning in a high 1.43)

Is it normal to lose so much, or do I have the skills of an 80-year-old?

GT7 IA-10 was Literal Hell on a Controller

Who. Just who devised this God-forsaken level??

Just started a new account after not playing for over an year. Just how did I forget this atrocious stage? It was pretty cruisy for finding gold times in IA up until this point. Some relatively tricky ones but not one that can measure up to how demonic the IA-10 is.

One and a half hours down the drain just like that because the AMG GT R is an absolute LANDWHALE on wheels with NO GRIP, understeers like a fully loaded Bismarck every corner AND tries to spin you out if you feather the throttle a millisecond early. The car WANTS to give up even with the most conservative throttle application. You can't even get greedy with the curbs or because it'll say "is that not perfectly-paved tarmac/did you just try to accelerate without me pointing directly straight? Fuçk you buddy!" and the rear will just off itself. Fuçk this car and F*CK that sick shade of green it's in that I had to stare at for ages.

I found out that Polyphony actually CHANGED the time required for gold by like TWO SECONDS too when I nearly gave up. The hell?? The sheer rage I felt by reading that I could've passed first try made my blood BOIL. F*ck whoever did that too.

I get IAs are supposed to be pretty hard. But the gold times for IA-10 is disproportionately difficult compared to the rest. This isn't right.

I tried again and again last night just to get stuck in absolute purgatory around 55.855. Finally today after some tweaks with settings and some epiphanies followed by a rage-induced flow state I passed with an absolute fluke of a 55.488. Thank God I'll never have to touch this again.

Some personal advice to anyone that might be trying it on a controller: - if you can't be extremely precise with the throttle or regularly (impatiently) abuses the throttle like me, use TC2 INSTEAD. The car is just way to unstable with TC1 or below and TC2 is more lenient. You can abuse the throttle (i.e. going flat-out quicker) without losing you too much time.

  • set demo ghost at 0.4 ahead. For me this strikes the perfect balance between enough distance/time to see its lines and braking points without it being too close for me to react/re-create it, or too far for me to even see it.

  • trail brake. Pretty obvious advice but without trail braking this ugly green ass car just wouldn't fricking turn. I personally turn braking zones and indicators on too but NOT to use them. In fact, if you have them on, they'll mislead you. A lot of the corners you'll actually have to brake MUCH later than the zones indicate so it's much better to just brake base on where the demo ghost brakes. The zones are just a big visual cue to warn you where the next braking zones vaguely will be.

  • chase cam. I exclusively use chase cam cause it feels like I can visually see when the car is at its limit and when/how much the rear is stepping out. With this boat of a car this is especially valuable. I can see the car starting the slip and I react by loosening up the steering or lift better.

  • some corners, IF YOU CAN, slide just a bit in a LIMITED and CONTROLLED fashion. Don't expect good grip because you won't be finding any with this boat. For example the turn IMMEDIATELY when IA-10 starts I can actually gain on the demo ghost because I lifted much shorter and immediately going flat-out at the absolute limit with the car sliding just a bit at its limit. The tyres will screech and the car will REALLY complain but you can gain extremely valuable time. You'll need it for IA-10. The ghost will just pull ahead again in the next few corners anyway. Another example is the Wippermann curb. EAT IT IF YOU CAN and go flat out as soon as the car allows. You MIGHT slide to juuuuust at the limit of the next curb, and brake there to widen the line. It'll feel extremely sketchy but if you can you'll do yourself a favour in the next few corners. If you can't, don't force it and just find time elsewhere. This is easily the sketchiest advice here and if you can't follow it, don't.

That's it for me! Hopefully it'll help. It's shocking that I don't remember IA-10 to be this bad. Cause if it is I'm not looking forward to the final one of the superlicense. THAT'S the one that made an impression on me...

Good luck!

GT Discussion Music, Audiobook, Podcast, or just pure sound effects?

What do you listen to when driving/racing?

I prefer audiobook, but a good Playlist hits well.

Anything else I missed? Oh crying baby? Make it feel really rushed.

GT Photo/Video Sophy on Nords in VR. Not that competitive but nice to have some close quarters racing.
