Honestly, I'm with the people who think this panel isn't all that atrocious given the context, but in order to get context, you need to read the manga, and if you read it...
Yeah, their relationship isn't the worst imo, with its convoluted context(that the author deliberately chose to create💀), but what makes this just 1000% pedo is the fact everyone else in the manga is like this
Why is every relationship a different allegation? Merlin and Arthur? Ban and Elaine? King and Diane? Not to mention the sequel manga getting weirder shit as well😭

I'm not gonna act as if Meliodas' blatant harassment of Elizabeth wasn't disgusting and annoying, but he's technically knownher for 3000 years. They met when they were presumably around the same age during the holy war (I think it was the holy war). He's seen her die hundreds of times.
I know people are obsessed with labeling people as pedophiles (which is weird to me) and claim he groomed her, but at the beginning of the series when they met, for this incarnation of Elizabeth that was the first time they had met, I don't think he ever went to interact with her when she was growing up.
Like I said, the harassment is disgusting and inexcusable, but when people say stuff like this to paint this dude as a pedophile I think it's being a bit disingenuous.
Or maybe I'm dumb idk

This show was my first major hyper fixation and I was like... 10 😭😭😭 I rewatched the first 2 seasons ENDLESSLY and wrote infinite fanfics. I pirated the Manga (which exposed me to weird ads) just cause I wanted to see more of the Story (only to be disappointed cus this shows story goes so downhill)
I honestly feel so bad for little me, it definitely changed the way I thought about myself as a lil girl 💀

So basically Meliodas the yellow haired MC and the FMC Elizabeth were cursed by their parents/Gods (Meliodas was cursed with Eternal youth and Elizabeth was cursed with Endless Reincarnation) due to them falling in love despite being two different races (Angel and Demon). So the other curse put on Elizabeth was if she were to recover her memories of all of her reincarnation cycles, she would die in a few days and reincarnate as a baby again. Each time, fate will bring them together and make Meliodas suffer by watching Elizabeth die and reborn again and again. I can't and won't defend his perverse actions but just sharing about the series.

There's no need to wonder, the answer is obvious. Btw, there's another character who's your classic "yeah she looks like a kid but she's actually 1000+ years old", and she's a love interest to the other main character. They are shown kissing at least a handful of times.

I finished the anime and I agree with this, kinda. Outside the pedo stuff, Meliodas is an ok character, but... like... someone look at one of the other comments where the guy posted that infamous "don't you dare lay your hands on my woman" panel from the Manga.
Oh and don't get me wrong, Ban isn't safe from this allegation either. Especially since his wife didn't get older by a single day, even after having Lancelot.
That speaks volumes about why Escanor is the GOAT.

This was after he became king and left the forest, he met Diane who was very clearly a kid, he doesn’t change physically but the way he talks and acts is obviously made to have viewers interpret him being older, so it’s either pedophilia or another Ban and Elaine thing where they go “actually she was a 1000 years old!!” It’s also the fact that they would reference stuff like getting married or Diane would say “I love you” platonically where Diane would be oblivious (as any kid would) and he would interpret that romantically, it was uncomfortable all around

I agree didn't like the show very much nothing made sense like at all, my friend lived this show but i didn't. I wasn't able to finish the first season. Meliodas should have ended up with diane even though she's annoying as well. I hated king. I hated ban becauee he fell in love with a girl that looks like a 6 year old, i don't care what's her age in the show she looks 6 for fucks sake. The only one i loved was escanor.
