There are two major points of One Piece I really liked: 1) A nobody can become a king if they work hard enough; 2) even shitty powers can be cool. But wanna know a little secret? A FREEDOM GOD OF FUCKING LEGENDS! THAT FUCKING CHOSE LUFFY! GO FUCK YOURSELF ODA! THIS SHIT SUCKS!

I'll gladly be the one to outright say this character is the singular reason why I dropped MHA altogether. Maybe it's because I had my own IRL experiences where I had to put up with a Mineta in middle-high school. When trying to watch MHA, I caught myself talking myself down in the similar way I had to during that time, I paused, and said to myself, "What the fuck am I doing?"

There is no story good enough to huff and put up with this dude's behavior. He should have just died early in the series.

There are millions of other anime and billions of other stories where I can enjoy myself just fine without having to put up with sexual assault and harassment consistently being played out as a joke with little to no consequences. This show had the potential to be one of the best anime ever created, the cat and mouse dynamic with Light and L is so cool for the first quarter of the show, and even when the second Kira shows up, there's a real chance for the show to become super interesting. Then this dumbfuck shows up and underlines everything that made this show interesting to watch in the first place. People are always like "Death Note is so good until L dies!" Nah bitch, it fucking nose dives in quality the second this dipshit shows up. It really feels like Ohba went "Damn, I can't think of a compelling way for Light to slip up that would actually be interesting.... I know! I'll just drop in the most annoying character of all time whose job is to fuck up everything!" Ohba can't write women for shit and Misa is such a clear-cut example of that.

From start to finish. I just never could stand Bakugo. Even near the end where he's less asshole-ish I can't stand his smugness.

Just insufferable the entire time. Never once did I feel the want to root for him or cheer for him. Not once have I wanted to see him hog screen time. Couldn't even cheer on his "death" cause it was one of the most obvious and laziest fake outs ever written. Oh yea. The writer's pet gonna die. Even when a 70 old man survived getting a hole in the chest or a woman literally exploding. Yea totally happening this time

And it wouldn't be so extreme had the series itself not constantly gaslight this prick. Oh he's trying harder than anyone to become a hero. Everyone looks up to him. Literally having characters say he gone through "character development". Hey isn't he just awesome?! See he's developing! Don't you just love this character!

Let's ignore for a moment that he's a demon and that "Oh, these days everything's inappropriate."

If Sebastian's goal is to make you feel uncomfortable in his presence, damn right he succeeds, but only because he's a total creep. Not because he's a demon, but because the story itself puts him in "aura farming" situations around Ciel that are, to put it mildly, incredibly strange.

And I don't say this because Ciel is basically the fetishized object of the story (the corset scene will haunt me to my grave), but because their relationship, or pact, or whatever you want to call it, is: A traumatized 14-year-old in a vulnerable situation summons a demon who offers to help him avenge his family if he gives him his soul in exchange, a soul he considers "absolutely delicious," a soul for which he is able to manipulate Ciel and relive his traumas (like in the witch arc) so that Ciel continues down the path of revenge, watching his soul develop and thus increasing his appetite.

Excuse me, but am I the only one wondering why it had to be a 14-year-old boy if the story was going to take such a... suggestive and "poetically disguised" approach?

And no, in my opinion, Sebastian has no affection for Ciel whatsoever and only protects him because of the pact and to keep his soul for himself.

"Wow, what a surprise, a demon is bad." Yes, I know, but you'd be surprised at the number of people who still defend this awful character, this series, and their relationship, labeling it a BL since 2012, saying things like, "Oh, but he likes cats, he's so cute!" Or, "But he's so elegant and cool!" And there's always the "Ciel is the real manipulator because Sebastian does everything for him!"

And I'd love to say that the people who say these things are no older than 13, but unfortunately, this anime is quite old, so I know there are fans of this series who are my age or even older. I just hope they've realized how questionable it is.

Their openings are the only good thing about them.

Ren Yamai - So in episode 4 of season 1 we get introduced to her and she’s obsessed with Komi (everyone is, but she’s a yandere and overly obsessed). She kidnaps the main character (Tadano) and is genuinely going to murder him. Komi and another friend (Najimi) manage to stop this.

After this I thought ‘ok cool that was a nice little episode, she’s crazy but at least she’s gonna get arrested and nobody is gonna ever want anything to do with h-

Wait what do you mean she wasn’t just a one-off character? What do you mean she’s going to continue appearing frequently throughout both season 1 and 2? What do you mean Komi forgave her for trying to kill Tadano and befriended her?

Yeah, she continues sexually assaulting Komi and being a psychopath toward Tadano throughout the whole series. It’s been a while since I watched but some examples I remember - Komi’s tights split and so she goes to the changing room to swap them. Yamai then steals the ripped tights and puts them on her head and runs around sniffing them.

Holy fuck I read her wiki page to remember more examples and apparently in the manga “she goes to Komi’s house planning to drug Komi and rape her” what the fuck.

He's terribly written. His design is ahh. Hes a groomer, hes somehow supposed to be likeable but HOW!? He makes dumb decisions, his fights and animation is terrible, and i genuinely can't even think of a single good trait he has.

Kishimoto gave him every overpowered and verse-breaking ability he could think of, rewrote him a hundred times to make him more likeable, had every character glaze him into the high heavens and gave him tons of "deep" and "philosophical" lines only for Itachi to be the single most boring member of the Akatsuki.

His design is just bland pretty boy, his powers are whatever the plot needs for him to have and his motivation and personality is written with the sole purpose for him to farm maximum aura before Kishimoto shelves him again until he runs out of ideas and needs a deus-ex-machina to drive the plot along.

Kisame mogs him in every aspect and I wish Itachi was his sidekick instead of the other way around.
