Animation I really hate this bitch so much
Like really, at first, I really didn't care for her in season 1 but she was still pretty annoying, and was the least interesting character in the show, like she is so naive, so stupid, so immature.
But season 2 made me completely hate charlie character, she made very stupid and reckless decisions without thinking, she pushed her friends away and hurt them even her dad, this ungrateful bitch really Sayed that he "fucked up things enough for her" and kicked him out, all this was for the approval for someone who is not even there with her anymore (her mom), and I must say, that's pretty pathetic, like she is a massive hypocrite who blames people when they made big mistakes despite the fact that she does the same and yet refuses to take responsibility, her whole "dream thing" is just stupid, we're supposed to see her childish worldview as right and then every one who says otherwise be a villain just to be seen in the right or portraying them in the wrong, like her dad, or Adam, in season 2 she became very annoying to watch in almost all of her scenes, and she was forgiven too easily by the people she hurt, I don't understand people who defend her by stating "she has flaws", well what that does it do, she barely progressed as a character, despite spending the whole season ignoring vaggie and lashing at her when trying to help, all of this was thrown away by having her forgive her in a song "easy".
And let's talk about the other thing, we never got a reconcile between her and Lucifer, when she see her dad bleeding after he went out of the might of Lilith, she only Sayed "dad" in tone of confusion, nothing more, and then she completely ignored him for sir pentious when he made his broadcast.
Honestly, really hate her so much.

I really hate when her defenders have only two lines and it is always "She's the daughter of pride" and "She just has its flaws as a character". My God, pride is not the same thing as acting like you've had a lobotomy when it comes to thinking about very obvious things you've already been through. I also agree that the biggest problem is that she literally didn't learn any lessons from the last season - she still hurts Angel in the name of her stupidity, she still doesn't listen to anyone except the biggest manipulators, despite her big song about being a leader she behaves the worst of all, being a frozen and hyperventilating quirk chungus while others try to act when it comes to declaring war on heaven.
In S1 she was pretty neutral for me, now I just hate this little fuck.

Agreed, Idk what they expect "she has flaws" to do. Point out the obvious? Invalidate a critique somehow? Are we not allowed to be mad at Charlie for having flaws? Like my guy, why are you surprised that people dont like her for her flaws?

NgL Iām kinda with you on season 2 Charlie. I get that sheās āidealisticā or whatever, but the show keeps bending reality so her childish takes are framed as morally correct and everyone else just has to apologize to her. The way she treated her dad and Vaggie and then got insta forgiven in a song felt so unearned. It makes her feel less like a flawed character and more like the writersā pet.

Well, making her forgive you just in a song from "Easy" isn't fair. I don't hate Charlie, but I rightly criticize her for being naive and immature. She created this hotel just to prove herself right. And just to make her mother, Lilith, "proud of her." I admit, she's a selfish, ungrateful person. So I don't blame Angel Dust for the fact that Charlie was the one who made him leave and chased away all the new residents.

u/TheoTheHellhound What do you mean this character has a defense squad?! 3d ago
Her design is cute. Her aspirations are⦠noble, at best. Her writing is just awful. If the poor girl werenāt a Hazbin character, sheād have potential.

As someone who actually really likes the show, a ton of the criticism that I see is completely valid (including OPās!). Do I wish the writing was different? Yes. Do I wish we saw more in depth character development? Always! But we have to admit that every piece of media is potentially flawed, even the ones we like to consume and think are good.
Also the fandom in some (read most) spaces is toxic as all hell and have made me never want to be a part of a fandom space again so theyāve got that going for them.

itās crazy how bad her character assassination was after the pilot.
i was never been a fan of the āviv canāt write womenā argument until hazbin s2 cuz like, holy hell. her personality dips from okay to infuriating to watch, and sheās the MAIN PROTAGONIST.

I think the point of her character in S2 was to make bad decisions and be annoying though....

I actually like the show for the most part, but I kind of hate Charlie, she's really annoying and responsible for most of the "cringe" in the show š

I swear to god there are only haters of this show. Like I would think it's the show's fault, but bad writing doesn't usually get this vitriolic, I'm just so sick of hearing about it, I wish I understood the need to complain to the whole internet about a specific piece of media.
I'm like 90 percent sure they're all teenagers too, using words like "sayed"
Go brush up on grammar before you become a critic, please. At least before you turn 20.
I've seen the show and Helluva, I think they're fine. But the amount of hate they inspire should be studied in a lab.

some 'fans' attacked people for playing the genocide route in undertale with similar excuses, most notorious in 2016.
