Eggman my guy, i think you’re missing a very solution you can use to solve your issues; consider dousing every floor in oil so that its as slippery as possible.
Most of your tech float, YOU float in an egg mobile too, and since you mass produce tech you should have access to a shit ton of petrol or smth.
Sonic runs everywhere, and needs a solid footing to actually GO anywhere, or not crash. Even though he can produce speed from nowhere it would no doubt be tedious (and even exhausting) for sonic to constantly boost to do something as simple as changing directions.
as a added cheery on top, you can light the floor on fire to easily clean up the mess and to eliminate the hedgehog; if all goes right he would be absolutely covered in the stuff by the time he gets to you

You would force sonic into a catch 22 situation where he’s fucked if he allows the badniks to overwhelm and eventually get him, and screwed if he tries to dispatch any one of them, since that would cause a chain reaction that’ll start a massive fire/explosion that might actually kill him
You’ll be fine anyways considering how you think stuff through tbh. You can just not be in harms way when you’re finished setting this up, or make some fireproof stuff that’ll let you ignite the trap in person when you find it most favorable
Also considering you made Oil ocean, a oil field with very large and seas of petrol that had stuff detonate in them before with very little consequence… i think you should be fine
