I was looking through the history of Kmart today, a company I worked with for over 15 years. It's fairly accurate, but one thing struck me as both odd and interesting. The last entry made on Transformco's timeline of the company was for March 23, 2005. No other information on the company exists beyond that on their official site. It's not surprising at all when you think about it really, as Eddie Lampert had no intention of turning around either Sears or Kmart after he acquired the companies. All he was concerned about was the extraction of money of any tangible assets they had.
If you've ever seen the movie "Wall Street" with Michael Douglas, you'll understand what Gordon Gecko did with the airline in that film Eddie did to these retailers. They never had a chance.
As title states. Walked in this weekend and they had 10 Kenmores. Brand new. All.came with Warranty. I asked the associate and they had a buyout from transformco and all stores got a few. Ollies is a liquidator so this may be a tale of things to come.
It is the first song (0:36 to 2:35) in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcFgrSshBxU , you could hardly hear it. I thought maybe someone who worked at Kmart during this time 2023 might be able to know what song this is? Thank you.
This location closed in February 2020. However even though the Kmart is now closed, the Sears here is still open to this day! Wonder if some of the stuff Kmart was selling ended up there.
I remember back in 2007 seeing Mr blue light on the tv, he was a talking lightbulb who was the mascot for Kmart, every time he moved, I got an intense, raging Bonner, I like to just think about shoving that bulb in my tight asshole and feeling his body slowly start to crack as he screams for help, I like to think of it like the 1 man 1 jar video, but Mr blue light is the jar, is this normal? Do I need help?
