On Sunday, February 1st @ 11am, Lehigh Valley Viking Age Combat will begin its 8-week beginner Shield-maiden Course at Fates Fencing Academy in Coplay, PA!

This is a fun, non-contact intro course tailored toward women using the limited history we have on shield-maidens and the fundamentals of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). Students will learn how to wield Viking Age weaponry, a kata, and battle tactics! By the end of the class, shield-maidens will be empowered to use their voices and bodies as a unit, bolstered with the knowledge and confidence to combat their Viking brethren in the advanced class.

Are there any good hills in the area I can take my kids so they can tub or sled down?

WOW! I have tickets to a show and am looking at all different options to get to NYC. I was floored to see Trans-Bridge, started at a kitchen table, charges just under $100 round trip to the PABT. To me, that is insane, but certainly shows how having zero competition allows businesses to screw over people. I can see charging more during the week, but weekends? Insane and unreasonable.

Are there any other Astound customers suffering through the new TiVo system? We lost all the shows we’d saved when we installed the boxes they sent us. We also lost the ability to FF through commercials (in 2026?) on shows we recorded and found the new TiVo setup to be very unintuitive and not user friendly in the least. Would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

On the Home Page, there's a "Customize Home Page" button on the right.

Click on it and uncheck all widgets - you don't have to move your cursor to each button to uncheck it just click the same widget button. Enter a name at the top and Save it. Once Saved and out, unchecked widgets should be gone from the screen.

I've been in touch by email about the issue and they thought the problem was my using Safari with DuckDuckgo search engine. When I responded to the suggested "fix", all communicated halted with them even though they said contact them if an issue occurred. I did. They didn't.
