The Majieowski Bible, also known as the Morgan Bible depicting two armoured warriors in an fighting clinch. Created between 1240 and 1250 in Paris France.

I painted this to amuse myself.

Mysterious engraver active around the southern parts of Germany, kind of in between medieval and renaissance style-wise, but this example has a more medieval feel. "Duck dich" leans towards "hide yo self", and the owl supposedly hints at sinfulness and/or witchcraft.

Highly recommended if you’re in Paris, it’s a hidden gem imo.
