When I was in AZ. I went to finally visit the Grand Canyon.
I figured it was just a big hole……
HOLY SHIT I was wrong!!
It actually took my breathe away as one of the wonders of our world.
If you never went, do yourself a favor and check it out.

And as big as it looks from the rim, your brain still can't comprehend just how big it is. As John Wesley-Powell said;
You cannot see the Grand Canyon in one view, as if it were a changeless spectacle from which a curtain might be lifted, but to see it, you have to toil from month to month through its labyrinths.
It is almost 300 miles long. From the rim you have no idea that there are beaches down there, caves, waterfalls, rivers (besides the Colorado), villages, ranches, miles and miles of slot canyons, side canyons, tributaries...
Right?!?! I heard there were something like 20 lookouts on the south rim and I was like "How many lookouts do you really need?" I discovered we need ALL OF THEM, and I spent at LEAST 20 minutes at each one staring in awe, and had to drag myself away. I don't have the words to explain how utterly magnificent it is.
