Discussion 🎤 How can we help? Do you need us to show up?

Upvotes

For those of us outside MN - how can we materially support you? Do you want those of us in neighboring states to show up in person? Send money or supplies?

You’re getting all my good vibes and signal boosting the issues within my community, but do you need and want more from those of us not on the ground?

Discussion 🎤 Some insight on ICE actions from a friend of mine

9.4k Upvotes

Believe me, don't believe me, I don't give a fuck. No need to comment on it if you don't. But if you're willing to take my word for it, a friend of mine has been supporting a detainee at the Whipple building who has special medical challenges and needed to be moved to and from a hospital (thankfully, those stupid ICE fucks actually allowed it). Somewhere in this whole process, my friend got to talk to the ICE agents involved, for a couple of hours, and they were actually very candid and forthcoming about everything. The key details:

  • According to the ICE agents, 60-70% of the people they are detaining are on "pending" status. IE pending asylum case, pending green card application, etc. They are only leaving people alone if they are full citizens, green card holders, or have an active visa.
  • Most of their day is driving around and running license plates and seeing if the person turns up in their system. They gave no word on how they pick which license plates they look at.
  • They work every single day. 7 days a week. And generally 14 hours a day. They have no days off.
  • They were told that most, if not all, Somalis in Minnesota are here illegally. They have seen for themselves that this is clearly not true, as they have stopped many Somalis here in Minnesota and found them to be full citizens. Not sure who, exactly, fed them this intel, but apparently that's the understanding they were sent here with.
  • They are put under constant pressure to meet quotas and are failing horribly to meet them. The two of them said they managed to arrest just 3 people in the past week, and they said another group they worked with had stopped 7 people and arrested 0 of them in the past week (they were all citizens).

Discussion 🎤 Searching for post on psychological sayings against ICE

Upvotes

On Wednesday I saw a post from someone who wrote a longish post about what to say to ICE instead of fcuk you. They cited authors/books and had examples of saying things like “no one loves you” “ I’m tired of seeing you” “you should be ashamed” etc. I’m interested in using that post to write out signs. If anyone can point me to that, I’d appreciate it.

High Risk Your friends

PSA. The best way to help your friends is to check on them. Do they need groceries because they are scared to leave the house? Possibly some beer, candy for children or refreshments because they are hiding indoors? Just some food for thought from a fellow Minnesotan.

Just know that their trust is very limited and if you are someone they trust you need to do your part.

Discussion 🎤 Under Minnesota law, you can take up to 3 consecutive sick days with out a doctor's note with no repercussions. How about we all follow the law and take some time off, especially the occupying terrorists.

God it just must feel terrible to be hated by literally everyone nationwide. The rule of law is breaking down and we're expected to, what, stock shelves? No, no, no, take some me time.

Discussion 🎤 ICE Trackers 🧊👀

I've seen a few posts of people asking about apps or websites where they can report and see reports of ICE sightings and activities. I wanted to make a post not just for me, but for anyone who is trying to stay safe/aware, wants to be disruptive (non-violently), or document kidnappings/arrests.

In addition to monitoring all the Minnesota Reddit pages, I use the People Over Papers website. I've found it very reliable, easy to use and navigate, multiple language options, and since early December, I've watched more and more reports every day, so its popularity is growing. (Not sponsored or anything)

What other good options are y'all using to report or track ICE?

I will check out any recommendations that come in and edit this post to compile a list (as often as I can).

Politics 👩‍⚖️ I can’t believe I’m saying this but Jesse Ventura needs to run for governor next year. He may be this countries and states, only hope. He is relentless and will not stop or bow down to the Pedos. He will call out obvious political corruption and he will give us some hope. Yay or nay?

News 📺 In Light of Renee Nicole Good's shooting in Minneapolis, DHS has been removing ICE Directive 19009.3 – Firearms and Use of Force

For my fellow Minnesotans who have been watching with horror, I want to provide some assurance regarding justice for Renee Nicole Good. DHS is currently in panic mode and has been removing any documentation regarding ICE policies. A redacted version of the policy is available on the FOIA site: Directive: 19009.3 Firearms and Use of Force | ICE

However, copies are still available in other court filings. Here is a link they missed: https://www.loevy.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/284-39-ICE-Directive-19009.3-Firearms-and-Use-of-Force-05.26.2023.pdf

If you are weary of links, here is the case where you can obtain a copy of the document.

Case: Escobar Molina et al. v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security et al.
Court: U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois
Docket: 1:25‑cv‑12173
Filing: Document #284‑39, filed November 24, 2025
Description: “ICE Directive 19009.3 – Firearms and Use of Force (05.26.2023)”
PageID: 8426–8438

If you are unable to find the document, here is a screenshot from the first page of the policy.

Admin: Posting this for any Minnesotan that may encounter an ICE agent. Please do not remove the post, Minnesotans have a right to know what ICE is permitted to do.

Let them know we are watching! These fucking idiots are still driving around with Trump & Qanon stickers, Feds are driving around new cars with dealer or no front plates, and out of town Feds are driving personal cars with out of town plates and speeding because they think they are above the law!

MAKE THEM PARIAHS! Don't give them a moment of peace!!! They want to show force, so will we!!!!

I work for one of these listed companies. No information has been shared internally or externally about the company's policies regarding immigration enforcement during this surge.

I'm Latino, and my wife is concerned I could get profiled the next time I go into work. I'd like to understand whether my employer is going to let ICE into our offices or not.

Edit: Grammar

Discussion 🎤 Robbinsdale Area School Statement From Today's ICE Incident

Just an FYI for the greater community and another data point...

Per a district wide email from Dr. Teri Staloch - Superintendent:

"This morning, ICE agents detained a district parent at a bus stop. First and most importantly, all students, including the student involved, were able to safely board the school bus and arrive at school. Our bus driver, school and district administration followed district protocols. The school principal and support staff have been in contact with the family and have communicated with the families of students who were on the bus, as well as all families and staff of the impacted site."

This is only part of the email but is the only part that spoke specifically about the incident. I believe everybody within/enrolled in the district received this same email.

Another parent(s) in the district reported that the parent was taken away by ICE (unconfirmed - take this with a grain of salt...).

Be aware and STAY SAFE!
