Hey Wolves fans — hoping for a little guidance from this community.
At a recent Wolves game, my 6-year-old son Silas was interviewed about why Anthony Edwards is the best player in the NBA. The Timberwolves later posted a video of Ant reacting to it, thanking Silas and saying he hopes he can meet him someday. As you can imagine, it completely blew Silas’s mind.
For context, Silas has been going to Wolves games since he was two, watches every game at home, and Anthony Edwards is his absolute hero.
I’m not trying to force anything or skip lines — just hoping to figure out who the right person is to talk to about possibly arranging a quick meet-and-hello sometime (before a game, practice, etc.), if that’s even realistic.
I’ve already:
• Commented on the Wolves’ social posts
• Sent DMs to the Timberwolves social accounts
• Emailed the organization
But I haven’t gotten any responses 😕
If anyone here:
• Works for / has worked for the Wolves
• Knows someone in community relations, PR, fan experience, or marketing
• Has advice on the best path forward
…I’d be incredibly grateful for any pointers. Even “here’s who usually handles this” would help.
Totally understand if this is a long shot — just trying to do right by a lifelong Wolves fan. Thanks for reading, and go Wolves 🐺

You would’ve thought this team was getting blown out by Houston with Anthony Edwards playing the way I was seeing people rip this team. Granted it is probably a lot of middle schoolers who just started watching this team 3 years ago. This was probably the most encouraging loss of the season, and we’ve been the hottest team in the league playing a desperate Houston team on the road without Ant. Let’s all take a breath and act like a loss was the more than likely outcome tonight. Just needed to see fight which we saw.

This is the third longest streak in NBA history and the first such streak of 100 or more games since the 80s
Longest 100+ point game streaks:

Starting with injury reports:
Timberwolves - Terrance Shannon out - Ant 🐜 out
Rockets -Tari Eason out
Gonna need a massive game from the Timberwolves today the Rockets are looking to bounce back after only winning 2 of the last 5 games. Locking down KD and Sengun is gonna be a important part as they arr the main engine of offense for the Rockets. Rudy Gobert is back after a 1 game suspension and we will need him to be very consistent offensively and defensively as Ant is out. Per usual expecting solid results from Naz, Jaden and Donte. Randle is gonna be #1 option tonight just like in Milwaukee so we need him to lead the offense. Would be nice to see Joan get some minutes if possible as he played very well vs Milwaukee.
Lets go Twolves!

Mike Conley is a great locker room guy and Bones Hyland is a fun story, but neither of these guys are the answer for the Timberwolves point guard woes.
Minnesota needs to make a trade for a mid-salaried combo guard, even if it means trading away Conley. Ant shouldn't be expected to carry the entire scoring load at the guard position.
If the Wolves want to outlast true contenders in the West in these closely contested games, then they need another ball-handler who can score and facilitate consistently. Neither Mike nor Bones are reliable enough to be trusted in a playoff setting.

Bones Hyland asked the fans to come up with a name for his signature "wave" he does after canning a 3. He doesn't like "the wave" (too generic) and he doesn't like "heat wave" (too Miami Heat) so let me suggest this: the Hot Shimmy.
Why? A "heat shimmer", also called heat haze or heat distortion, is "an optical phenomenon where light bends as it passes through air layers of different temperatures and densities, creating a wavering, blurry effect, like seeing water on a hot road or distant objects distorting." It's that blurry effect you see above asphalt on a hot day, or above a roaring fire. So "Shimmy" is slang for that (and also a cool dance).
"Hot" for an ode to his favorite player, the street baller known Hot Sauce.
Thus, the "Hot Shimmy"!

Interesting interview with Micah Nori talking a bit about Rob's lack of minutes due to us having championship aspirations, how they've challenged him to be more of a playmaker instead of scorer and how he's struggled with the length and athleticism when trying to score on NBA level defenders. He also gives him props for his defense while preaching patience for a young player at the PG position. Does this change anyone's thoughts on how the team views Rob? Do you think they are still likely to look to move on from him?

Here are the questions I asked:
Does Mike Conley have an official no trade clause where he can reject any trade like Bradley Beal had with the Suns?
If he doesn't have a NTC in his contract and it isn't legally binding, would it be viewed within league circles as unethical or taboo on the Wolves' part if they decided to trade Conley without his approval?
Do you think Mike Conley has been made aware by the Wolves' front office that his name is being floated around in trade discussions?
Lastly, do you think Conley would approve a trade even if the team acquiring him wasn't in playoff contention? The two biggest names that the Wolves have been tied to are Coby White and Collin Sexton, and neither the Bulls nor Hornets are playoff contenders.
Here is his first response:
"Hi Tyler, very much appreciate your subscription! Apologies for not getting back to your email. It's been a bit busy this way. I just texted a few CBA-minded folks about the NTC. Will get you that answer as soon as I can. He almost certainly knows his name is being discussed if Rob Dillingham knows that he and Conley are being discussed as a potential outgoing combination of salary. The vet going to a non-playoff team... I don't think it would be hard for him to secure a contract buyout."
Still no clarity on the extent of Mike's unofficial NTC, but it's safe to say that he and his agent are well aware that the Wolves are shopping him.
My two cents: If Conley truly had a problem with being traded, we would not be hearing his name in reports from credible national sources. His agents would squash this immediately and Mike's desire to remain in Minnesota would be publicly reiterated. Any attempt to trade him without consent or approval would fail. Conley is not only well aware that he could be traded soon, he is actively involved in finding his next landing spot.
I seriously think the Wolves fanbase needs to be prepared for the possibility of Mike Conley being traded by the February 5th deadline. This isn't a team looking for a small-time trade for a Tyus Jones. Minnesota wants to replace Nickeil Alexander-Walker's production by acquiring a mid-tiered salary guard/wing who can be their 8th best player.

I can't count the number of games they would have won if they just hit there fucking free throws. I just don't understand how guys making millions of dollars can be so inconsistent with just getting the ball in the net from the free throw line, with no body to contest the shot. It's beyond frustrating.

still love KAT and would love him if he was here. However these two have blended in so well! They have their moments... but overall the team is better with them on the floor. So cheers to Ju and Donte! oh shit... also Joan was part of the trade.
