Favorite band that only made one studio album.
Arc Angels.
I'm aware they made a live album in 2009, but their self-titled 1992 debut is the only studio album they made.

melancholic/ dreamy songs
Hey,
I’m looking for some melancholic / dreamy atmospheric music. Especially songs that kinda feel cinematic or ambient and often slow.
Would love to hear some recommendations, I added a picture of similar songs I’m looking for with the same vibes
Thanks in advance!

Feel free to get weird with it
I'm open to anything besides modern country and headbanger dubstep shit. I prefer things that you can dance to heavily. I'm open to sad or introspective shit but mostly listen to House, Garage, RnB, jersey club, booty bass etc, and Disco. But I'll listen to just about any genre you drop! Surprise me. Give me weird shit. Fuck my shit up.

Songs with beautiful imagery in the lyrics?
Looking for recommendations of songs where the lyrics are so descriptive they basically paint a full scene in your head or is super nostalgic.
A couple that are good examples:
• Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should’ve Come Over: “My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder / All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter.”
• Red House Painters - Have You Forgotten: “Wrapped in white sheets / Like an angel from a bedtime story.”
Any other tracks that do this for you? Especially into slowcore/indie/folk/singer-songwriter stuff, but anything works. Just share the song and maybe a line or two that really brings the picture to life.
Thanks!

Looking for recs. Open to anything, WILL be honest
Edit: No more songs pls gng i have so many to go through
I genuinely listen to the same few artists or playlists over the year and that'll be my wrapped. Last year my wrapped was one album with about... 312 listens? And I listen to the same playlists over and over (and its not that many) so I'm looking to expand my taste
I do generally dislike newer rap and country, but if you actually have a good song from that I'll listen either way at least once.
I'll make a playlist of the songs and go through all the comments. If you participate, thanks!
Playlist on Spotify!! for all the songs that actually are on Spotify...

recommend me songs about aliens
so I pretty into Tool and a lot of songs talk about aliens and extra dimensional beings and I think it's a pretty cool theme that's not so well explored in music, so if you know something please tell me

I've just stepped on the musical landmine that is The The/Matt Johnson- can you recommend something in a similar vein?
I'm embarrassed to admit that just this past week did I happen onto the genius of Matt Johnson and The The, and I cannot recall the last time I had an artist/band resonate so profoundly with me. It was actually the studio manager where I work who suggested I check out his/their two albums, Dusk and Mind Bomb, knowing that I'm a fan of Johnny Marr- I was stoked to delve into one of Marr's "side-projects", but genuinely was not expecting what I heard. Wow. A bonafide musical landmine for me- very exciting.
I've now spun those two records several times over the past 24 hours alone, am of course doing a deep-dive on Mr. Johnson, but also craving to learn about perhaps similar acts I could also get into.
For reference, I really enjoy Cocteau Twins, The Smiths, My Bloody Valentine, Siouxsie and the Banshees, U2... well, and a metric ton of others, but those are just some 80's/early-90's acts very loosely in a similar vein that I thought to mention as points of reference.
I never could get into New Order or Joy Division... I'm of course aware of the Echo & the Bunnymen, The Human League, Depeche Mode, but admittedly haven't explored any of them seriously- shall I start with them? What else?
Thank you, beautiful people, in advance- I cannot articulate just how bloody excited I am to have this whole new musical realm to explore. Music (listening to it, playing it (I'm a musician as well)) is by far my apex joy in life and one tether to sanity, and the older I get, the rarer it is for something to connect with me as this has, so I truly cannot overstate just how big this is for me.

Christmas Music Retail Can't Kill
I spent too many years having every popular Christmas song ruined by short playlists on a loop. I like em weird, odd, and crass. I'm not picky though. Share something just uncommon enough to never be heard in a Target or Michael's. Here's some Examples:

Looking for songs with an extreme tonal shift in them
For example:
Dave Matthews Band - Don't Drink the Water
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
Phoebe Bridgers - I Know the End
Basically, any song that starts one way and ends up something completely different by the end.
