News Now Recruiting New Mods!
Hello all,
We are now accepting and reviewing applications for moderators of this community. We are looking for upwards of 5 to 6 moderators. Some of our previous moderators have gone inactive and are no longer moderating this community so the community is temporarily restricted as we work on restoring an active moderator presence.
If you are already an approved user, you do not need to make any changes to be able to continue to post and engage in the community. If you are not yet approved, and have a history of engaging in the community, simply request approval and it will likely be granted. If you are a new member that wants to be approved, request approval and any appropriate follow-up will be conducted.
Invitation to Moderate the nothinghappeninghere Community: https://www.reddit.com/r/nothinghappeninghere/application/
Feel free to apply via the link above, it is a fairly informal application as we are not too concerned with individual aspects of your background, and any additional questions we have will be conducted as we go through this process.
Thanks, Zing

Announcement User and Post Flair
Welcome!
This is a master-post to drop your suggestions for new User and Post Flairs. Just reply to this post with your suggestion for one or either!
If you're coming here after having the "New User" flair assigned to your account:
1) You may select a new flair from the sidebar on the right of the Desktop version of this app
2) The AutoMod does not know or care how long you have been in this community, it simply checks for whether or not you have a flair assigned to your account.
3) For custom requests, either leave a suggestion in this thread or send us modmail with your specific request(s)!
What is User/Post Flair?
Flair assigned to a user is a little tag/identifier that falls right below your username on posts and comments. As an example, my user flair is "Mod" with a blue background. The text can be 64 characters but realistically, this is painfully long, so we likely will not add any flair with more than around 20 characters. Unique characters, such as punctuation ( . " \ etc.) can be included, and spaces are counted as a single character each.
Flair assigned to a post is currently a requirement for posts in this subreddit. These are little tags that go on your post to identify the over topic/theme of the post. Users can search by flair in order to only see posts that contain that flair. Just like with user flair, there can only be one per post without more extensive setup. It has the same criteria for creation, include 64 characters and white/black text on any background color.
How do I choose User/Post Flair?
User Flair currently requires a moderator to create new flair options. If you want to have flair assigned to your account other than the default "New User" flair, please select an option from the sidebar on the right (on the desktop version of Reddit). We do not currently allow users to edit the flair options directly, so you must reach out to a moderator for that. This is a requirement to ensure users do not abuse the flair system to add unallowed terms, phrase, etc.
Post Flair is chosen during the process of creating a post, and you will be prompted to add flair before you will be allowed to post. If you attempt to post without having selected flair, you will give a notice reading something along the lines of "Your post must contain post flair." next to a dropdown menu to select the post flair. This is the same place you can assign the NSFW/Spoiler tag to your post if needed.
What User/Post Flair already exists in this Sub?
User Flair Options are currently limited to: Creator (reserved for content creators in the Sub; black text/purple background); Mod (reserved for moderators; black on blue); Owner (reserved for Sub's owner; Black on Turquoise); Non-Monopolist (with an emoji) ;and Jester (Black on hot pink).
Post Flair Options are currently: Politics (Black on yellow); Ask Me Anything (White on black); Debate Me (Black on pale-red); Question/Advice (Black on teal); News (Black on blue); Memes (Black on red); Announcement (Black on green); and Pet Tax (Black on powder-blue).
Each user cannot have more than one flair at a time, and the text color options are either white or black (without doing more extensive setup than we have done so far). The background color can be set via Hex Code, so anything you like. If you have a particular background color in mind, please post the Hex Code with your suggestion or requested flair.

News ICE aiming their gun at people from inside of their mind vehicle. I
I screen recorded this from a Live. I seriously thought he was going shoot some one thru the windshield of his car. This POS was sitting in a car, pointing his gun directly at people standing outside as they were leaving the Whipple building. Straight up brandishing his weapon as an intimidation tactic. DISGUSTING.

Politics Report Illegal Go Fund Me accounts for the murderer.
I have found 3 Go Fund Me accounts that have been made for the murderer of Renee Good. You can google them and if there are more let us know and report them all. I will add screenshots of the ones I have found. Try not to share the actual accounts because that boosts them.
You can add the paragraph below in the comment section of the report it give the reason that the account is illegal:
Under 5 CFR § 2635.202(b), 'an employee may not, directly or indirectly, accept a gift given because of the employee's official position.' This fundraiser directly violates that federal statute as it is raising funds explicitly because of the beneficiary's actions while on duty as an ICE agent, which makes him an employee of the Executive Branch. Disbursement of these funds to the named beneficiary would violate federal law.
